PLACEMENT CRITERIA FOR CORPORATION BANK:

 

Corporation bank is a highly esteemed organization. This is a private bank which recruits a large number of freshers every year. This bank recruits for mainly 3 posts, which are clerk, probationary officer and specialist officers. One major criterion to be fulfilled by all candidates is qualifying the IBPS Examination (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection). However the other criteria to be fulfilled vary with the posts offered. They are being discussed in detail in the following paragraphs.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA FOR CLERKS:

For recruitment by the bank as a clerk, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

<a> candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/she may be a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who had arrived in India before 1st January, 1962 with the aim of residing here permanently.

<b> candidates must be of minimum 18yrs of age and maximum 28yrs. However there are certain relaxations in the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. SC/ST candidates have 5yrs , OBC candidates have 3yrs and PWD candidates have 10yrs of relaxation.

<c> EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

    (i): candidate must have passed CWE (Common Written Examination) for clerks conducted by IBPS and must own a valid score card, achieving minimum cut-off in individual subjects as well as TWS (total weighted score).

(ii): candidates must be graduate with 40% marks in aggregate.

(iii): candidates must have working knowledge in computer operations or they must have studied Computer Science/ Information Technology in high school or in college or under guidance of any institute.

(iv): knowledge of official language of the state where there is a vacancy is also required.

 

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA FOR PROBATIONARY OFFICER:

For recruitment by the bank as a PO, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

<a> candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/she may be a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who had arrived in India before 1st January, 1962 with the aim of residing here permanently.

<b> candidates must be of minimum 20yrs of age and maximum 30yrs. However there are certain relaxations in the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. SC/ST candidates have 5yrs , OBC candidates have 3yrs and PWD candidates have 10yrs of relaxation.

<c> EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

    (i): candidate must have passed CWE (Common Written Examination) for PO conducted by IBPS and must own a valid score card, achieving minimum cut-off in individual subjects as well as TWS (total weighted score).

(ii): for general candidates minimum TWS score is 151 and 25 in individual subjects. For SC/ST, minimum TWS score is 126 and 21 in individual subjects. For OBC, minimum TWS score is 141 and for PWD, it is 106.

(iii): candidates must be graduates in any discipline with 55% marks in aggregate and must have working knowledge of computer operations.

(iv): knowledge of official language of the state where there is a vacancy is also required.

However, mere fulfilling of the above conditions does not guarantee a job. The selection procedure has 2 tiers. After achieving a score in CWE, selected candidates will be called for a group discussion, which is to be followed by a personal interview. The bank will then shortlist the final candidates.

 

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA FOR SPECIALIST OFFICER:

For recruitment by the bank as a SO, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

<a> candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/she may be a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who had arrived in India before 1st January, 1962 with the aim of residing here permanently.

<b> candidates must be of minimum 21yrs of age and maximum 35yrs of age. However there are certain relaxations in the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. SC/ST candidates have 5yrs , OBC candidates have 3yrs and PWD candidates have 10yrs of relaxation.

<c> EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

    (i): candidate must have passed CWE (Common Written Examination) for PO conducted by IBPS and must own a valid score card, achieving minimum cut-off in individual subjects as well as TWS (total weighted score).

(ii): candidates must be graduates or BE or B.Tech from Civil/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation and Control/ Electronics and Telecommunication branches, OR  MA/LLB in either English or Hindi language, OR ME or M.Tech from Computer Science/ Electronics and Telecommunication/Information Technology branches.

(iii): knowledge of official language of the state where there is a vacancy is also required.
