Alcatel Lucent SA is a France based company high supplies Hi-Tech equipments for telecommunication networks to the governments as well as to the private sectors. These equipments provide voice, data and video services to their own customers. Alcatel Lucent SA comprises of three business parts:-
NETWORKS:-It focuses on manufacture and sells network switching and transmission systems for wire line and wireless networks, microwave radio etc.
SOFTWARE SEGMENT:- This part of Alcatel works on integration, transformation for IP of television, digital payment and mobile communications.
ENTERPRISE SEGMENT:- This division supplies products, solutions and services to corporate and government clients to improve collaborations among employee, customers and partners.
PLACEMENT CRITERIA:
The placement criteria of Alcatel Lucent SA includes four rounds:-
First round is written examination round in which candidates have to answer some general multiple choice questions. It is a written examination taken by the company. The questions are generally based on analytical ability, numerical ability, number series, letter series, reasoning, sentence completion.
Second and third both rounds are Technical round in which mainly technical questions what candidate have learn in their bachelor degree or master degree is asked to the candidates by the team members of Alcatel Lucent SA company.
Finally, the fourth round is HR round in which HR of the company will asked some general questions to the candidate. This round is taken by the company generally to check the communication skills, interest and mainly confidence level of the candidates. So the candidate should be full of confidence for this round.
KEY SKILLS FOR A SOFTWARE ENGINEER:-
1. Bachelor/Masters degree in CS, EC or in EE.
2. Strong knowledge of XML models and on SNMP.
3. 3 to 4 years of development experience on JAVA.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Good understanding of networks management domain.
6. Knowledge of scripting languages like PERL, Shell etc.
