Scholarship for Indian Students for MS at University of Calgary
The University of Calgary which is also known as UCalgary is a public research university that is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in the year 1966. Currently near about 6,000 graduate students are studying here. Many famous personalities have pursued their education from here like the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper and Robert Thirsk, Canadian astronaut. This university ranks 73rd in USA and Canada category and 98th in the world.

1. Graduate Student’s Association Bursaries
Eligibility: Any international students who can demonstrate their financial need are eligible.
Scholarship Amount: Up to $ 1,000 per year

2. Graduate Achievement Award – Michael Lazar Community Service Award
Eligibility: Any international graduate student who has a sense of personal commitment and has served any university community besides very good scores in the academics
Scholarship Amount: $ 500 cash
How to Apply: The candidate needs to send an updated CV containing the details of the leadership and involvement in the university community. Also a one – page letter by the Graduate Program Director needs to be attached with the CV. This letter must include the contribution of the student. And that needs to be mailed to “gsaward@ucalgary.ca”

3. Special Awards and Bursaries
Eligibility: Any international student who would be able to demonstrate financial need would be eligible for the bursaries.
Scholarship Amount: Up to $ 35,000

4. Program Recommended Awards
Eligibility: Any international student with very good academic score and have financial need are eligible for this award
Scholarship Amount: Amount that covers the tuition fees and other expenses relevant to the academics
How to Apply: The candidate needs to fill up an application form. As this award is administered by the particular department, the candidate needs to contact the graduate program office for the application information. Though the final approval is done by the Graduate Scholarship Committee.
