UPSC: UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, a central government organisation authorized to conducts different examinations for engineering services, civil services, defense and many more through out the year across the country. Organisation was formed in October 1, 1926 and controlled by government of India. In this section, we will provide you the list of all the UPSC exams conducted in India by Union Public Service Commissions with their all details such as eligibility criteria, exam process etc. Still if it contains any error please do let us know through the comments. 1. Civil Services Examinations
A nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to the various Civil Services of the Government of India, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS).
Eligibility Criteria
-
- Educational Qualification : Candidate should be Graduate or pursued Degree in any discipline from any recognized university in India and Final Year Candidates can apply.
- Age: Minimum of 21 Yrs to Maximum of 30 Yrs on 1st August of the year of the Examination
UPPER Age Relaxation
• A maximum of three years for OBC candidates
• A maximum of five years for candidates belonging to a SC/ST candidates - Number of Attempts
• Four attempts for General category candidates and OBC category candidates under the Creamy layer
• Seven attempts for OBC category candidates
• To SCs/STs, No limit on the number of attempts - Nationality
• For IAS and IPS, a candidate must be a citizen of India - Examination Process : Consists of Three stages
• Stage I : Preliminary examination
• Stage II: Main examination

2. Engineering Services Examination
A nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the UPSC for the civil services that meet technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. It’s a four stage competitive examination conducted by UPSC known as Engineering Services Examination for recruitment to the different Indian Engineering Services.
Eligibility Criteria
-
- Educational Qualification : A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech) from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent
- Age: Minimum of 21 Yrs to Maximum of 30 Yrs on 1st August of the year of the Examination
UPPER Age Relaxation
• A maximum of three years for OBC candidates
• A maximum of five years for candidates belonging to a SC/ST candidates - Number of Attempts
• Four attempts for General category candidates and OBC category candidates under the Creamy layer
• Seven attempts for OBC category candidates

3. Combined Defence Services Examination(CDSE)
The “Combined Defence Services” Examination (CDS) is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.
Eligibility Criteria
-
- Educational Qualification :
• For Indian Military Academy/Officers’ Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
•For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering
•For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology - Age:
• Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years
• Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years
• Naval Academy : 19-22 Years
• Officers’ Training Academy : 19-25 Year (not before 2 June on the Year of Examination) - Nationality
• A candidate must be a citizen of India - Examination Process : Consists of Two stages
• Written Exam
• Interview by a Services Selection Board - Website : www.upscgov.in

4. National Defence Academy Examination(NDA)
A National Defence Academy is an academy of Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services Indian Army , Indian navy and Indian Air Force are trained together before they go to final services academies. NDA was established in 7th December 1954.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification :
• 10+2 in any stream to apply for the Indian army
• 10+2 in physics and mathematics to apply for the Indian Air force and Indian Navy - Age:Minimum 16.5 Yrs to Maximum 19 Yrs of Age ( No Age Relaxation)
- Nationality
• A candidate must be a citizen of India
• Girls are not eligible for NDA. - Examination Process : Consists of Two stages
• Written Exam

5. Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA)
Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) is a nationwide UPSC exam conducted bu Union Public Service Commissions to recruit candidates for the undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur. This programme was started in 1927 and is one of the oldest in India.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification :
• 10+2 Passed in Physics and Mathematics
• 10+2 in Physics and Mathematics, Appearing Candidates are also eligible
• Graduation with Math subjects candidates can also appear for this Exam. - Age:Minimum 17 Yrs to Maximum 21 Yrs of Age ( No Age Relaxation)
- Nationality
• A candidate must be a citizen of India - Examination Process : Consists of Two stages
• Written Exam
