About NIFT :-

Full form of NIFT is National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a group of fashion colleges in India. It was established in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

Which Type Courses Offer  NIFT and How To take Admission-

NIFT offers 4 year Undergraduate  Course , as well as 2 year  Post Graduate , programmes in the design, management, and technology.

Candidates want to take Admission in Bachelor of Design (B.Des) as well as Master of Design (M.Des) programmes ,need to take two written admission tests called the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT).

Candidate  who want to take admission in  other courses such as Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech) and Master of Fashion Management (MFM), need to take GAT Test

NIFT organises  our own Entrance Exam For UG and PG course.

For UG Program  – Candidates need to first appear for a written test.

GAT FOR B.Design & M.Design

This Test will comprise of various section as given below:

1. Quantitative Ability
2. Communication Ability
3. English Comprehension
4. Analytical Ability
5. General Knowledge & Current Affairs

CAT FOR B.Design & M.Design

The CAT  test is administered to judge the intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development and design ability of the candidate. An important aspect of the test is the creative & innovative use of colour & illustration skills.

NIFT EXAM Eligibility Criteria:-

As per the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2018, the maximum Age- 23 years as on October 1, 2017. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) subject to following qualifications.

 For B.F.Tech

The  10+2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

For B.Des-

The  +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination
