This type of bag filters are operating with a principle known as pulse cycle by which the time interval between pulsing a row of bag to clean them and that row being pulsed again and again.
It is done by a method by which the compressed air is allowed through a tube. A nozzle or a venturi is place at the top portion of the bag.
In Dust Collector Pulse Jet Type , the bags are supported by the individual metallic cages. These cages are made up of steel and having the strength in it. These cages are fastened with the help of cell plates at the top of the body. In this type of dust collectors the dirty gases enters at the bottom of the bag filter and leaves from the top of the bag without any dirt content. The compressor is used to allow or inject the air into the nozzle or venturi.
The pressurized air injected through the nozzle of the filter bags. This air is then accelerated with the help of the venturies which is mounted on the top of the bag .Although the dirty gases enters at the bottom of the bag filter and leaves from the top of the bag without any dirt content. The continuous moving of the air provides the much air to cloth ratio that is 6 to 10 feet/min. In this way Pulse jet type dust collector works.

In the case of using in the industrial purposes these may be 2-5 m^3
The velocity of the air inlet may got by the formula
Q=Discharge/Volume of air
A = Tube internal cross-section area (in square feet)
V= Velocity of air in feet/min.
It have the pressure of 10-15 psi.
