Population Growth in India: A Problem?
India, on the verge of becoming a developed country, is still a developing one. The reason behind–“OVERPOPULATION”. Coming towards the rural areas, this situation is at hike. The reason behind-“ILLITERACY”. Increasing Population in India is Problem for country has always been a topic of discussion. Today, India is 2nd largest country in terms of population, and it is expected to surpass China by 2025. We are not able to manage our human resources properly. Now a days increasing Population of India is big Problem. The Increasing Population in India without any limit is one of the problems behind the lacking development in the country. India is the second largest country in terms of population.
Drak Side of Population
Illiteracy and lack of awareness creates a thought that having more children, will give a secure future to the parents and the society, but, whats the use if the children themselves do not get the desired facilities? What’s the use if they’ll be a burden for society?
What is the use if they ll not be able to contribute to the welfare and development of the country? The answer lies within. They can serve the country only if they get the desired facilities like food, shelter and most importantly–“EDUCATION”. The prime concern is to literate the people, especially in the rural areas and simultaneously making them aware about the ill consequences of having more children.
The government should allow certain rules regarding families, having more than 2 or 3 children to solve out the problem of Increasing Population in India. The people also should get aware of the birth control measures. Television, radio, newspaper or advertisements etc can be the best source to spread awareness among the people.
Hence, there should be the rising voices and helping hands from all over to eradicate this issue as over population is the main hindrance in the development of a developing country like India because government has to spend more and more money in giving subsidies at the underdeveloped areas.
If India does not control its population very soon we will have problem of feeding this huge population very soon. Either we need to learn to manage human resources quickly, or we need to decrease our population growth rate ASAP. We, as Indian citizens, need to understand our responsibilities. India is a free democratic country; this does not mean that citizens do not have some responsibility.

another biggest problem we are facing rite now bcos of over population is worsning of living standard. even middle class people can not stay in the spacious flats. hav to pay 5000000 lacs for 3rums and even more. isnt it shocking
I am happy to know that at-least our young generation is serious over the problem of growing population of the country and aware of its drastic consequences if suitable measures not taken in time. I personally think that growing population and corruption in the system are the biggest two hindrances in the progress of our nation. Now, the question arises, how can we solve these problems? I think … only we, the people of India, can solve these problem by creating awareness in the society and electing the right candidate for the parliament who are keen to resolve these issues. The youngsters shall have to make concrete efforts in this direction while adopting these two measures initially: –
1. Create awareness in the society by sharing your views with your friends, relatives and the society. The youngsters can organize meetings, seminars etc. time to time to speed up the mission.
2. We should unanimously determine to elect such peoples for governance who are resolute to bring 100% transparency in the system and make certain effective friendly laws to check the population.
Now this is the only thing where INDIA is ranked NO. 1
Aww… there is nothing to be proud of, it’s a matter of a big shame and yes it does shows how illiterate or how irresponsible we are.
Days have gone when the motto was “HUM DO HUMARE DO” but days have come where “HUM DO HUMARE EK” must be implemented.
INcreasing population is surely affecting d society in every sphere. it is the main cause for illetracy. bt in cn be surely overcome by taking necesary steps.
yes i agree that increasing population is a big problem and it could only be controlled by litracy..i.e. to literate people
After the dawn of independence India was suffering from many problems and the devastating problem of increasing population. With 1.21 billion people, India is currently the world’s second largest country. India crossed the one billion mark in the year 2000, one year after the world’s population crossed the six billion threshold.
Demographers expect India’s population to surpass the population of China, currently the most populous country in the world, by 2030. At that time, India is expected to have a population of more than 1.53 billion while China’s population is forecast to be at its peak of 1.46 billion. It will going to be one of the major problem for India in future as it is a developing country.
Now a days increasing Population of India is big Problem.
According to 2011 census India’s Population is around 9.13 Crore and that of world population is around 1.21 billion.
Main problem of popupation is “illiteracy”. as a result people take to many children ..They cannot get sufficient advantage for their childrens…i think the the major solve of this problem is awarenass… if we telecasting the videos that contain that population is the one of the major problem in india as well as the extra childern do not get sufficient advantage form thier parents.. and also increase the literarcy of the country… now its the high time for the indian goverment to take a proper decission about this seriou matter.
so i think goverment shoul make some rules for that serious matter….like china.
Australia had a rule of incrising population……those people can maitain four child, they’ll be awarded.
thank u in advance
There are different factors responsible for population explosion in India. First is lack of proper education. Being superstitious by nature, Indians regard children as the gift of Nature. Secondly, they know very little about the modern methods of population control. Thirdly, they do not realize the importance of better standards of living. They leave everything on fate.
the basic de marits of increase population is,it increase poverty in our country….
according to my view ,i think all the peoples of our country be concious and hold their hand together to stop this by awareness of family planning…..
India is a developing country. But it’s major problem is high population. It causes lack of literacy and lack of thinking. If people think then only India can be a healthy Country.
Narrow roads, low per capital income, less space to stay, less earning opportunity due to few industry compared to the present population so I can definitely say that the increasing population of India is a big problem.
There is really no doubt about the fact that ‘over population’ is one of the greatest problem of India. In India mainly among the poor people there is a common concept that ‘more hands, more food’,this is the main reason behind their giving birth to lots of children. But they actually are not aware of the the fact that if they give birth to more and more children the burden will gradually increase on their shoulder. Each people has some basic requirements of food, shelter, medicine and added to children needs education also.If proper care and education is not given to a child then he/she will never be able to support others properly.Because of this increasing population illiteracy is also increasing gradually. Not only that poverty is also a result of this overwhelming population.
When people suffer from poverty many of them starts to walk in the path of anti-social activity.Nowadays we can see in the news everyday that many antisocial activity is occuring everyday, and behind this overpopulation is the main reason.
Government should take necessary steps to make people understand about the problem of huge population.Steps should be taken to make people aware of this situation and how we can control it to make our India’s future brighter.
in the my point of view India’s increasing population without any limit is one of the problems behind the lacking development in the country.India is the second largest country in terms of population.
if we devlop in our country that time we limit the population.
Now a days over population is a very big problem. It is for low level of education. The people in villages and many cities are not literate so they do not understand the problem of over population. They produce the children but they do not know how they will bring up the children and how to maintain their studies and how to take care those children. It
yes it is a huge problem in india.because their is no restriction in delivery of child whereas in china they look arfer on family income during baby issue.as the population is increasing day by day the baby cant get proper nutrition ,as a result the child cannot grow up properly.in india in every 2 children one is not getting proper nuturition.and the country also suffering due to this problem.
Population has simply become a curse to India. India is the second largest country in terms of population behind China by a few margin. It’s an area at which the Government should take necessary steps to provide Indian people a better future. examples of overpopulation are now a days seen everywhere starting from the roadside slums to the posh areas. Due to over-population footpaths are being occupied and the rate of beggars are increasing starting from the kids to old aged peoples. Huge populations have lead to illiteracy rate across India. And this cannot be stopped by any government norms or agendas, until and unless everyone changes there own mentality. Thus for the betterment of our own country step must be taken only us…….
According To my View increasing of population in India Is a very much problem.it is also dangarous for our society because for this reason most of the children who was born not get any proper house, proper food, also not get their proper education and for this reason now a days most of the people are jobless.for this reason also increase the crime tenacity.most of the people are go in the wrong way for get the money to live their life. so i thought its a huge problem in our society and goverment should proide any good idea to stop this quickly.
India is still a developing country and the continous increase in population is the one major problem in front of our country because with increasing population illiteracy is also increasing day by day.The reason behind this is that more than 50% of population is below the poverty line and they are not able to survive a good life.Even our government is also aware of everything but they are still not working for them. The head members of the poor family are unable to provide good life or education to their children.
the main reason for the develpoment of any country is LITERACY. Today in india the population is increasing rapidly which and is becoming a basic reason of illiteracy. Not to forget the schools are also not playing their part nicely in student’s life as it has also become a source a income now a days and not source of knowledge. so in order to stop this severe problem government should take neccesary actions.
Increasing population of India rapidly is tremendously a big problem.Because now a days sources are limited.so we have to aware people through media such as television, newspaper, radio etc etc.Government have to make a rule that every citizen can produce only 2 to 3 childrien per family.many people forget about the problem of the present situation of the country and for the sake of their enjoyment they start increasing their family without family planning. They could’nt even think of their children’s future.they could’nt even thought of that what food their children will get after birth.
India is a large country and a country having 2nd largest populations in the world. Increasing population is definitely a
bigger problem in our country. These is the reason for many of people cant get proper education proper foods. We must need to work on that.
As day by day the youngs generations are not getting the jobs. there no enough vacancy in the companies. So I believe there should be a
particular Govt. rule. So that We can control our population and have a beautiful place to live on.
i agree with u. but days will come when next generation has to think about having children or not. situation is gonna worst in future.i m an engineer. n i dont hav job just bcoz everythig is full. evry field whree i can work has no vacancy. having execellent technical n communication skills i m facing this problem.just becoz of overpopulation.
population in india is main problem, because the educational status is very low . to prevent this case we concious all the people by the posters and add.
Increasing population is a problem by which we can say that our India is not a developed country. It causes for the lack of knowledge and illiteracy.people should follow the government’s rule and be aware to survive the shamefull problem.
OVER POPULATION HAS DUAL EFFECT ON THE INDIA . IN THE FIRST OVER POPULATION DECREASES THE RATE OF DEVELOPING OF INDIAN ECHONOMY. GOVERMENT HAVE TO USE MORE MONY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE BELOW THE POVERTY LINE. BECAUSE 75% OF INDIAN POPULATION IS BELOW THE POVERTY LINE .AND OVERPOPULATION IS THE MAIN REASON FOR THAT. LIKE EVERY COUNTRY INDIA HAS LIMITED NATURAL RESOURCES WHICH IS IN TROUBLE FOR THIS OVERPOPULATION..
AND THE SECOND DUE TO LARGE POPULATION IS A BIG MARKET FOR THE OTHER QOUNTRIES. INDIA HAS THE LARGEST NUMBER OF THE YOUTH POPULATION IN THE WORLD..
SO WE HAVE TO SEE THE BOTHE SIDE OF THE COIN BUT ALSO AWARE THE PEOPLE FOR ITS BIG DISADVANTAGE.
india’s increasing population Wonderful observation but where’s the solution? In a unipolar world if some one is so powerful that they can bully others than its not heathy for others. What needs to be done is that these small players should try to increase there influence. And this is the prime time for countries like India to break free from the clutches of US as US itself has many problems of its own to deal with.
Yes population is a major problem in India. Only saying that population is a problem we should do something to stop it is not a solution. The reason behind this population is illiteracy. It can be seen that some people prefer a male child than a girl child and they keep producing babies until they get a male child. Some uneducated people thinks that having more child will income more money but as the resources are limited they may don’t get a job.But the parents don’t think about this negative side.Only those people are not responsible for this.Government should take steps like educating the poor people, giving advertisements and give some award to those who have less than 2 children and to aware the people about precautions.
Increasing population of India is a serious problem nowadays. India is still a developing country and it consists a lot of rural areas. So the people of these areas are illiterate. They produce children as more as they can. The main problem is India has already over 120crore people and there is not enough work for everyone. The population is increasing more and more everyday. And those who have many mouth to feed, they manage a low profile life.Another problem is if there is a newborn girl the parents wants to kill her and produce children up to there is a boy. So in this regard our government should take necessary steps.
