Reservation in Promotions

Although reservation in promotion is a matter of group discussion but as India is a free country and I am free to say or speak what so ever i like so i will start to advocate reservation for post of Prime minister , after all most of the time they have been earlier cabinet ministers and then latter in other elections they have been promoted to PM position

Reservation in Promotions

Reservation in Promotions

Reservation for SC/ST

Reservation for Minorities

Reservation for Woman

Reservation for refugees

Reservation for physically Handicapped and now Reservation in Promotions

(Bus karo yar Bache ki jan loge kya)

There is proposal to provide reservation to SC and STs in government job promotions at the rate of 15% and 7.5% respectively. This is ridiculous and dangerous step.It will result in conflict in the society and promote inequality ,due to this seniors will became juniors. They are waiting for 30-40 years to get the promotion but due to this there is an injustice between them , the people who are having reservation can get the promotion erlier than the seniors ,this will create an inequality between them. Majority of the benefits that are supposed to go to entire SC/ST community are garned by very few rich and influencial ones. The same gang gets theire priority in everything right from admission to schools ,colleges ,post graduations ,appointments and now ready to in promotions also.

Generally the Indian constitution makers proposed the reservation for 10 years only , but still its going on in favour of SC/ST only , all the politicians are very much concerned about the SC/ST only  but why not GEN/OBC .The OBC personnel are not getting any benefits at par with SC/ST .If this will be continued in the future definitely there will be a chance that OBC willbe becoming dalit.

Reservation is painful for people . I would like the reservation be there based on the economic conditions and those who are poor irrespective of  caste or religion  should be given opportunities . The government should eliminate  all  caste system and only one caste remains and that is INDIAN.

As per as my thinking reservation should be abolished completely.it should be probihated specially reservation based on caste systemfrom the very early period we are trying to remove ths caste discrimination. but today on the name of reservation we are supporting it. priority must be given to talent else the day is sure to arrive when there will be reservation to enter into the temples and mosques. people must be promoted on work basis.
we are “INDIAN” first not belong any caste particularly no matter which religion we have . the prioty should be given to financial poor and talanted person!!!!!

  2. Vaibhav Rawat says:

if the biggest issue of this modern era is considered while talking with someone apart from the pesonal issues than this is definitely an big issue in the considerations so i think that reservation is one of the biggest problem in india which we had faced from past few years because of its major effects on the entire system..reservation system is totally abandoned from our system and make a single cast which is being a INDIAN..if this change occur in the country then the whole system will free from the cast and rationality by making a single citizen so that every person is equal and no problem will reside due to this an orthodox issue..

  3. Ali Hozefa Bohra says:

    RESERVATION, Wowww!
when I thinks about this term then feel that like I have not freedom even if my country has and I am sure this situation is with everyone which is loosing its opprtunity because someone nondesrving condidate is getting his position. I also heard from the people of SC and ST that this is very wrong way to give the reservation to a community.
Well behind anything there is someone responsible. if we talks about the reservatioin starting or objective of resrvation then we know, before freedom there was a lot of castbar between two communities even one person on the chair and the second one is on ground and I want to remember that the person on chair was a genral today and the ground’s person was SC,ST and now they are upon us.
So basically resrvation was right but it is on wrong way.

  4. Sachin Sharma says:

reservation in promotion is rediculous..accordind to indian rules there is reservation in promotions..but one thing to be think is that is it right?is’t it spreading inequlity?is’t in killing self respect of a worker who is senior in age, have same knowledge but have a low rank post in same office against the officer who is junior in age? goverment is providing about 15% reservation.this is really a very bad thing for india and should be avoided as soon as possible….in starting a person is facing very much difficulty during selection and after getting selection,he is facing reservation in promotion…his life has become a battlefield..goverment should think over it .

  5. Nitin K Pareta says:

THEIR SHOULD BE RESERVATION IN INDIA BUT FROM MY SIDE IT SHOULD BE ACCORDING TO ON THE FINANCIAL BASES OF PEOPLE.
THE OTHER WAY WHICH CAN BE POSSIBLE ,ON THE BASIS OF EXCELLENCE

  6. palash kothari says:

i think reservation is not necessary today.because it is 21st century and if today we give people the easy way to reach on the high posting and if help them to get a good job easily.then what about the independent generation and what about the competition.reservation is nothing just a way to reach the less educated person at the higher post.and not giving the chance to the hidden talent.and if india want the growth rate higher then reservation will be end now.because today many of the student think that we need to study less and we get the reservation.but general has to survive after they are well educated and complete higher education as compare to the people who get the reservation.so we want our peoples independent not depend on any kind of reservation.they have the capabilty to achieve great success without any reservation.so reservation is not necessary.

  7. Surja Ram Bhagat says:

Reservation is not the point to take into account when delivering a greater responsibilitity to a man. Promotions should given according to their performance. A man/woman who is serving the people in a better way then other should be eligible for promotion.
With the people serving feature, the man should fulfill some threshold criteria for that post.
Experience should also be taken into consideration when we are talking about promotions.
Reservation was only to make people some upper level but now a days, reservation is the point which is considered by politicians and its a political point.
According to my point of view reservation should be only for illiterate people to make them literate.

  8. Kamal Kaswan says:

I think reservation should be no more at this scenerio because it result development of “developed family or categories”.At the time of independence it must be necessary for some parts of indian society as they are socially exploited and economically weak.So if want to follow then we have to discover new grounds like family records for “getting benefit” or “BPL” like policies .

  9. Saurabh Jajoo says:

reservation was a step taken by the government to give the enough opportunities to the backward people.
but now it becomes a very major point of distraction. reservation in promotion is the rediculus feet taken by the government. Actually reservation for selection is ok but in promotion the thing to be tested is experience and workability not the cast. by giving reservation you have given a chance to rise them but reservation in promotion means we are making them lazy , and also the good working and experienced person of general cast will not work properly because they knows whatever they do they will not be permoted. so reservation in promotion should be removed.

  10. Arun Kumar says:

RESERVATION IN PROMOTION NOT GOOD, BECAUSE IN OUR CONSTITUTION RESERVATION IS PROVIDE THAT PEOPLE THAT BELONGS TO BELLOW POVERTY LINE. WHEN ANY PEOPLE DOING SERVICE IN ANY GOVT. SECTOR THEN THE GOVT. PROVIDES SALARY IS MUCH HIGHER THAN THE CRITERIA OF POVERTY LINE. SO THEY NOT BELONGS BELLOW POVERTY LINE. SO THESE PEOPLES NOT DESERVE RESERVATION IN PROMOTION.

  11. Aditya Kushwah says:

According to me the reservation should be applicable only for those individuals who are lagging with their financial background as they failed to managed even to fill a examination fee. GDP rate of any country depends on the status and capabilities of the citizens, if we are promoting them on the basis of caste & they don’t have such ability to lead them at the peak. Then on what basis they will contribute in the growth of the country, so to be more precise i would like to add by saying that if a guy or girl is making no stone unturned to reach at the peak by doing their work body & soul whereas on the other hand the person who is undeserved for that position reach there without any hardwork & capabilities just because of this caste system. So this is unfair for the deserving candidate as well as for our country. So i would like to conclude that reservation simply creates differences amongst the community.

  12. Swapnil Mishra says:

i am not here to talk about reservation this is a government stuff because they better know about it. I am here to put my point of view so according to me reservation should not be in government jobs promotions because we can’t judge any one’s ability on the basis of their cast and category .
If someone who has ability to be promoted then there is no need of reservation because promotion is a part of ability not of cast.If reservation is started on gov. jobs then it is injustice of the people who are not belongs to reserved category but they have potential or ability to be promoted.

  13. Shekh Sadik says:

See we know that every coin has two faces therefore from my point of views reservation should be there but the aspect is that this should for those people who really need the reservation.Reservation should be irrespective of casteism yes this is for the people who is below poverty line.In some areas muslims are considered as apart from the human society so some consideration should be there for the muslims too.
so reservation should be there but in a limited percentage so that the other unreserved person not to face problem n not look the reserved person apart from them.
    thank you

  14. Jeetendra Thakur says:

ITS MY FIRM CONVICTION THAT RESERVATION IS A VERY SENSITIVE TERM FOR BOTH RESERVED AND UNRESERVED CATEGORY SINCE FROM OUR CONSTITUTION HAS MADE………………………………………ON ONE SIDE RESERVED CATEGORY GET SEVERAL OPPURTUNITIES DUE TO THIS.BUT ON THE DARK SIDE UNRESERVED CATEGORY SUFFERS A LOT BECAUSE OF RESERVATION.THERE ALWAYS HAVE BEEN CONFLICTS BETWEEN BOTH UNRERERVED AND RESERVED CATEGORY.SAME THING IS ALSO HAPPENING IN RESERVATION IN PROMOTION.I THINK RESERVATION IN PROMOTION IS NOT A GOOD DEAL.BECAUSE SEVERAL GEN PEOPLE GOT HURT BECAUSE OF THIS PROVINENCE.THIS IS A PAINFUL PROVINENCE TO UNRESERVED PEOPLE.ACTUALLY THE THING IS THAT POLITICIANS FOR MAKING THEIR VOTES FROM S.T/SC IS PLAYING WITH SENTIMENTS OF THE PEOPLE.RESERVATION IN PROMOTION WILL NOT ONLY RAISE THE NEW CONFLICTS IN SOCIETY BUT ALSO HURT THE FEELINGS OF UNRESERVED CATEGORY PEOLE BECAUSE ALL ARE EQUAL WITH THE ASPECTS OF SOCIETY……..AND REGARDING PROMOTION THE PEOPLE WHO REALLY DESERVE TO BE PROMOTED SHOULD BE GET PROMOTED WETHER HE/SHE BELONGS FROM UNRESERVED OR RESERVED CATEGORY……….THIS WILL BE A FAIR DEAL FOR BOTH RESERVED AND RESERVED CATEGORY PEOPLES…………….SO I TOTALLY AGAINST RESERVATION IN PROMOTION BECAUSE PROMOTION SHOULD BE GIVEN ON THE SKILLS BASIS NOT ON THE CAST BASIS…….

  15. Prayas Vyas says:

According to me, system of our country should be changed because in India everyone has equal rights and i personally believe that by this system general category get suffered.
By this system, the difference arises between community and due to this some talented candidates are unable to getting a platform for their performance.
Lots of people missed opportunities due to the reservation. People who are from backward class have a opportunity to do something in favour of their society and improve their financial condition. If a student is weak in studies and scoring an average score in examination then also he get good college.

  16. asish kumar panda says:

I DONT LIKE RESERVATION PROMOTION BECAUSE ITS PAINFUL FOR US.FOR ITS POLITICIANS ARE MOSTLY BENIFITS.

  17. RAJIB LOCHAN PANIGRAHI says:

still its going on in favour of SC/ST only , all the politicians are very much concerned about the SC/ST only but why not GEN/OBC .The OBC personnel are not getting any benefits at par with SC/ST .If this will be continued in the future definitely there will be a chance that OBC willbe becoming dalit.

Reservation is painfull for people. The goverment shoud eliminate the caste system and only one caste remains and that is INDIAN.

  18. Huma fatima says:

This is completely unacceptable…….this create the differences among the employees…..This will be greatly unfair to those who are to reach their retirements and are serving the country since so long………..

  19. Mamata kumari says:

Major benefits or reservation goes to entire SC/ST community ,Example is all the Chief Mininster of Jharkahand belongs to SC/ST,none of the GENERAL community had got this position to provide service to their states.I think rerervations shud be their but the rules needs a little bit changes .the reservation shud be given to the weaker section of the society to secure their future.

  20. roshani mishra says:

If we see one side of it then reservation should be their for those who are really deserving and cannot afford things…but many people who are undeserving getting benefit out of this reservation system..
If we see the other side then many people who are deserving in general category are left out or dont get benefit because of this reservation system…so the reservation system should be such that neither party gets left out..

  21. Rajeev Ranjan says:

from the very early period we are trying to remove ths caste discrimination. but today on the name of reservation we are supporting it. priority must be given to talent else the day is sure to arrive when there will be reservation to enter into the temples and mosques. people must be promoted on work basis.

  22. Satyendra Kumar Jha says:

in my opinion, all the reservation system is wrong in India, reservation with category is totally wrong.

  23. Arpita Sardar says:

I think reservation is necessary but according to financial condition of a person…not according to their cast..

  24. SHILPA RANJAN says:

As per as my views are concern reservation should be abolished completely. specially reservation based on caste system.I think we should give priority to those who are deserving candidates although students who are from poor background but they have talent or whose financial condition is bad definitely need reservation..but the students getting reservation on the basis of caste and students getting more marks and thrown out is totally not justified….!!!!!

  25. astha vaish says:

According to me yes reservation should be there but yes it should be based on seeing the economic conditions of the poor who are suffering a lot for their survival and the poor irrespective of caste or religion should be given opportunities…

    • BHAVYA NARULA says:

      Against: Reservation in Promotions
Dr. B R Ambedkar added the law of reservation for the backward classes and the Scheduled Tribes at the time of writing the Constitution of India (1950). He gave this law to b under enactment for 20 years from then. He would have thought to give an initial help to such tribes, and 20 years of help to a particular tribe would be sufficient.
The time period for this law has been extended and so is the percentage of quota.
The quota that was earlier offered only for higher education seats, is now being demanded in promotion as well. “If any person gets into a good college (through Quota), and possessing required talent, will he still not be able to get a promotion based upon his own capabilities??”
We all know what is the actual motive of the political parties behind this. Of course it is securing votes from these tribes’ people.
Comparison An OBC/SC/ST person will have an easy access to a top class college, and then after getting into a government office, he can still use his power to get a promotion. where all these steps of success are required to b taken by putting REAL WORLD EFFORTS by a general category person.
