Reservation in Promotions
Although reservation in promotion is a matter of group discussion but as India is a free country and I am free to say or speak what so ever i like so i will start to advocate reservation for post of Prime minister , after all most of the time they have been earlier cabinet ministers and then latter in other elections they have been promoted to PM position

There is proposal to provide reservation to SC and STs in government job promotions at the rate of 15% and 7.5% respectively.This is ridiculous and dangerous step.It will result in conflict in the society and promote inequality ,due to this seniors will became juniors.They are waiting for 30-40 years to get the promotion but due to this there is an injustice between them , the people who are having reservation can get the promotion erlier than the seniors ,this will create an inequality between them. Majority of the benefits that are supposed to go to entire SC/ST community are garned by very few rich and influencial ones. The same gang gets theire priority in everything right from admission to schools ,colleges ,post graduations ,appointments and now ready to in promotions also.
Generally the Indian constitution makers proposed the reservation for 10 years only , but still its going on in favour of SC/ST only , all the politicians are very much concerned about the SC/ST only but why not GEN/OBC .The OBC personnel are not getting any benefits at par with SC/ST .If this will be continued in the future definitely there will be a chance that OBC willbe becoming dalit.
Reservation is painful for people . I would like the reservation be there based on the economic conditions and those who are poor irrespective of caste or religion should be given opportunities . The government should eliminate all caste system and only one caste remains and that is INDIAN.

For promotions Reservation is not good because Reservation is only for those people who has under poverty line. But in promotion mean whose good in money or up to poverty line .So shoud not Reservation in Promotions.shoud be promoted whose has good knowledge.
Yes,It is happening now a days.But it is not for good salary it is for get good job. and do a impressive business himself.
in my point of view , reservation be based on the economic condition of human life. and this is not to allowed for sc/st because every person in sc/st is not to poor condition so this based on economic condition..!!

Which was started by the government to bring the minority people to come forward and to support them to fight with the world…
Bt nowadays those people treats it as their right,i dont the reservation is their right.
That was just a step for bringing them forward…
as d world is growing we can even see the reservation while PROMOTIONS being given to the people,just because they are from ST,SC,OBC they are being promoted irrespective to the ability and capability..
They are being equally atandard with the persons who have came through the life’s hurdles and the primary, hard work,patience and their ability.
This was initiated because the General caste people use to promote only the generals… because of such people this originated. and till now it has so much engraved in the system that it is quite hard to deploy it.
Hence if reservations for the promotion is there,the certain people should be thouroughly screened to grab that specific position,theyshould be examined deeply …
nd the most deserving minority people shold be employed..
This wont get rid of the Reservation setup but this would atleast assign the person who has passed through the Screening processs.
there are a bad policy of indian govt. to provide a reservation with basis of cast ..ya it is one side true that poor people have job and earn money…
but thats policy is bad ..because in that level a talented peoples are not able to get promotions..and in any case which is related with this are remove from indian govt. policy…
ya i know i am also a OBC cast people ,but i am agree with those people who are think that this policy is remove from indian GOVT.
As per my views there should be no reservation in promotions. reservation should be based on the economic condition of the employ and promotions should be based on the seniority,knowledge of the person.Due to reservation based promotions the love and respect for each other almost finishes and they start to criticize each other which is not good for govt. and as well for society.the employ which has no reservation also get frustrated and does not do his work honestly.
yes sir you r right,it is rediculus that in our country reservation is given on cast system,b’coz our constitution says that there is similarity in every cast than how can reservasion based on cast,it should be based on economic standard of people.then every men can say that he is living a very good life in our nation.
I personally think that reservation criteria is such a bad thing in all the fields because due to reservation those people selected sometime who does not deserve that thing. In promotions only those people get the promotion who have eligibility to get that promotion. The person is fulfill all the criteria of promotion activity only those will be selected for the promotions. so i think promotion reservation activity in any field is not good and i request from the government please remove all these rules of reservation and provide equality to everyone.

I will not support Reservation in promotion because reservation in education has already given to those people who need this…and by this who really deserve that reservation, got jobs……but reservation also in promotion!!if someone really good with his work,so he don’t need any reservation in promotion…promotion only can get by dignity and hard work…not by reservation….
WHY W-H-Y is this reservation word getting into the nerves of government for these sc\st people ,It’s nothing but just another step by government towards promotion of inequalities among the people of the country . Does this reservation fulfill the future demands of reservation by this hungry lot of sc\st people NO it will not …it just another piece of prepared food served to this poor India just to show that yes their is a lot more coming your way u can fetch anything .

Earlier the clerk which was coming to office 2hour or sow past his duty time is getting promoted and is now eligible to come in lunch time or cane operate from home too..

Earlier reservation was given for only two years for development of some very backward cast’s people, but later this is become a point of getting votes for politicians and they increase it for their own sake. According to my point of view the reservation in promotions is not at all appreciable because due to this an deserving person don’t get right post but other person of xyz cast get promotion in spite of fact that his social and economical condition might be good from a general category person. So if we really want to give reservation then it should be given in field of education and on the basis of one’s economical conditions, not on the basis of cast so that a deserving person can attain a position of his choice.
according to my point reservation is painful for the people for ex. a person getting 10 marks in gate and select in IIT and another person get 30 marks then there is not selected in IIT because first person belongs to SC/ST and getting profit of reservation and another person ics not in SC/ST so this is not selected. so reservation is compltely remove our country .because reservation is allows for lower economy condition of these people.
reservations in promotions is not good for any other.because by providing reservations it is only applicable for below poverty lines and by providing reservations,they can get service with minimum marks and their lower capability.and if it will be done then who have intelligent and able person according to their quality in general…they will be not able to get their services and those who are in lower poverty line…they will easily provide their services in any field and it is not a good judgement for general category people..
Promotion of reservation is good for us, as people of SC/ST are giving more importance than GEN.In country like India we must treat all the peoples equally whether they belong to SC/ST or OBC or GEN,we must help the needy, those who are not able to earn should be given free education and opportunities. It is not good to divide people by caste because as there are many corrupt people who form SC/ST certificate whether they belong to SC/ST or from general they do this with the help of currption and take place of original Scheduled caste people in many competition. So,criteria of helping poor must be based on there current income value of family, not from their caste.
Reservation in promotion should be abolished completely… as its a nonsense that reservation in promotion….people are waiting long for promotion but this sc/st people get a quick chance of promotion and the people who wre waiting long for propmotion dont even get a chance to promote…this people possess more knowledge the sc/st people who get a quick promotion and government has made a very wrong rule for sc/st peopleas this people are getting oppurtunity in every field from education to job…why is this happening do they have more brain then general people or they are not human being where is the point to promote sc/st people quickly……sc/st people should be oppurtunity rather then promoting them quickly….now sc/st people are no more poor they all reached the level of general people …even more then a general people this is only because that government provide them more oppurtunity….a very good example is the rss of rajasthan all the rss of rajasthan are sc/st caste people..general people dont get a chance even sc/st people dont have any knowledge they are not capable of being rss but they possess the position of rss this is rediculus …..this rediculos activity should be given a end now its a time to put a end to the caste system the only caste system that should exist is Indian that we all are indian.

It’s a phenomenon that commenced with the coming into force of the Indian Constitution (the Constitution initially provided reservation to Christians, with the proviso that it would automatically reduce gradually with the efflux of time) – however, lately preferential treatment on regional basis has either been non-statutorily introduced in the educational institutes (e.g. eligibility conditions for candidates from outside the State are 5% higher than that for the ‘locals’, as per local rules prescribed by certain Universities) or is being advocated in both jobs and lowly professions like auto-rickshaw-drivers.
As for my opinion,reservation should be abolished.i every sector either it was a government or a private sector,a reservation line is very hanged up for a general.we only give a opportunity for a deserving people who face a financial problem or any other single parent child.reservation is a very big issue for GDP also.
as what i know about reservation,it should be applicable only for a poor people.
and what about government sector,as it junior or senior,its not a decision part for a public.government should know about who is legal for promotion.

Reservation make them different to each other. And according to “Indian constitution every people has same freedom and same respect but reservation make it wrong”…
In the goverment workers it can be see easily, due to reservation they get promotion firstly and after then they get a higher post from his/her seniors… and this thing is very rediculous in goverment jobs…
OBC is also get reservation but if compair that reservation with SC/ST then that was very few…
according to me the reservation name complitly remove from indian constitution for same respect and providing jobs to person who is capable for that job……
Hello. i think that there is no Require for Reservation in Promotions
Becouse if tha people is realy a good Worker or honest ,.. and do workhard he will surly prmoted becouse every one see his Work or tha upeer class also effecte with his work and will apriseat him….
If tha cast wise premotion we can see today condition “ALL TAH BANK THERE ARE ST/SC PEOPLE STAY ON THA POST OF MANAGER” i hane see that in tha many bank there is manager are like “ABCD Meena”

According to my views reservation in promotion is not good beacuse we can’t judge any one’s ability on the basis of their cast and category . sc/st having high reservation as compare to other cast like general nd obc. and in our constitution reservation is provide those people that belongs to bellow poverty line . if a people do work in goverment sector then government provides much high salary then the poverty line . and those people not in bellow poverty line . so on behalf of me reservation in promotion is wrong .

it shoud be limit that i known that some students are not good in conditions that read well so that time give reservation is limited after that he get education then in job no having reservation.that time students facing problem which are not having reservation. if he got good percent in exam. but not having reservation then not got job in goverment sector .so reservation is totally remove ya limited
I don’t think that reservation is not to be provided but to whom we provide the reservation is the case,government authorized the reservation to all the sc,s and st,s cast trible but it doesn’t mean that they are backward,reservation is to be provided to whom those who deserve and not be able to do something at its own.The reservation may be provided according to the annual income of the people.
reservation not in promotion, because it is divide the caste and now a days the reservation in SC and ST is 15% and 7.5%. we should elemate the reservation only one caste in india that is hindusthani, if we take an example that a persion he is vary good in every field and another person he is not good but he has reservation , in the exam good person deserve 99 out of hunder and poor peeson got 50 he is selected he says many thought that you are so intelegent but u don’t achieve thjat job and etc,,,so if reservation promotion is allow so it allow all caste otherwise it is elemated by government.
Reservation is eating country. Reservation is the main reason behind development. People says that India is one but reservation divide India in several parts. Reservation for SC/ST makes other classes backward. Due to reservation a hard working man does not got as he deserves. Resrvation creates fight in India. Reservation is only for those who are below poverty line. It should not on the basis of cast.
