Scholarship opportunities for Indian Students at University of Auckland
The University of Auckland is a research – led university. It is full of opportunities for the students starting right from developing the English language skills to a wide choice of programs, and also provides access to a wonderful range of extra – curricular activities. The University of Auckland is the only New Zealand member of Universitas 21 which is a prestigious international consortium of research – led universities and it fosters the academic exchange and the quality benchmarking among its members. The University is also a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) which is a network of major international universities in the Asia – Pacific Rim region. In 2010 the University became the only New Zealand member of the Worldwide Universities Network, a group of leading universities focused on international research collaboration with the aim of addressing some of the major issues facing humankind.
In addition to the outstanding services and facilities available to all the students, they offer specialized support services for the international students through their International Office. This support includes dedicated student advisers who are available to help the aspiring candidates enroll and settle in to their new study life. One more type of support is the scholarship opportunities for them.
There are different types of scholarship opportunities to the students. But we have mainly concentrated here in the scholarship opportunities for the Masters’ degree especially for the Indian students, though other country’s students will be included in it.
The scholarships are:-
1. Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship Program
Eligible Students: Students from the countries which are an ADB borrowing member can apply. The candidate must have at least two years of full time work experience. The candidate must agree to return to their home country after completion of studies. Students staying in countries other than their home country are not eligible
Scholarship Amount: Money will not be provided to the students, instead their tuition fees, airfare from home country, basic cost of living in Auckland, return airfare and special grant for thesis preparation would be provided to the candidates

2. University of Auckland Masters / Honours / PGDip Scholarship
Eligible Students: Any students who have completed their graduation
Scholarship Amount: Up to $ 10,000 pa + compulsory fees
Application Procedure: An application is to be made to the Scholarship office
3. Faculty of Science Alumni Masters Scholarship
Eligible Students: Any students who have completed their graduation
Scholarship Amount: Up to $ 9,000 pa + compulsory fees

4. Graduate School of Management Masters Scholarship (Asia / Pacific Islands)
Eligible Students: Any students who have completed their graduation
Scholarship Amount: Up to $ 30,000
