Bihar Police Constable recruitment is done by the Bihar Police Exam Board .
Bihar Police is the organisation or agency held responsible for maintaining law and order and security for people of Bihar. This department is directly under the control by the Home affairs department of Bihar Government. The Bihar Police Exam Board is the organizing body for these exams.
JOB PROFILE OF BIHAR POLICE CONSTABLE
The job involves working in police force and assisting the senior officers. Though there are not too many rights given but the constable is the first person to reach any incidence spot and investigate and prepare reports on daily basis and sometimes need to multitask and also carry out other’s duties.
ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY
The candidate willing to apply should have cleared 12th from a recognised board. The minimum age limit is 18 years old whereas maximum is 25 years.

The salary bracket for the post of Bihar police Constable ranges from rs 5200 to rs 20,200 .it also includes all allowances to be given.
If selection process is to be considered then there are three phases for this-
Phase 1 involves written test and Phase II involves PST i.e. physical standard test whereas the Phase III involves Medical test..

EXAM SYLLABUS FOR BIHAR POLICE CONSTABLE
The written exam consists of 100 marks for 2hrs duration. Hence we have got for you the complete exam syllabus to be covered .
The subjects to be covered are HINDI, ENGLISH,MATHS, SOCIAL STUDIES, GENERAL SCIENCE.
- HINDI would consist of comprehension passage like Premchand,Kumar Gandharva, Vishnubhat Godse, Satyajit Rai, Bhola Paswan Shastri, Krishna Sobti,
- POETRY would include poets like Vidyapati, Kabir, Meerabai, Sahjobai, Bhartendu Harishchandra, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala,
- ENGLISH will have notes and summary passage, comprehension short and long questions from unseen passage ,reading of short stories, reading of essays, translations, basic gramnmar,
- MATHS includes statistics, trigonometry, sequence and series, set, relation & functions, 3-d geometry, probability, calculus
- SOCIAL STUDIES will have topics as :
HISTORY –The revolt of 1857,The Indian awakening in 19th century, Spread of Modernisation, Political Changes under sultanate,The Medieval History, Prehistoric cultures,Ancient Civilizations, Culture and economy from Post Mauryan to Gupta Period,Bhakti and Sufi Movements, Urban economy in Medieval age, Indo-Islamic culture, Partition and Independence,
GEOGRAPHY-Physical Geography, Economic Geography,Fundamentals of Human Geography,Fundamentals of Natural Geography.
6) POLITICAL SCIENCE-origin, concept, parliament, state, sovereignty,Indian judiciary,electoral system ,working of local self government,National Integration,foreign policy.
7)GENERAL SCIENCE– This subject consists of Physics:laws of motion, kinematics, work/energy and power, gravitation, heat & thermodynamics,physical world etc.
Chemistry:basic concepts, structure of atom, radio activity,state of matter, hydrogen,hydrocarbons, chemistry in daily life.
Biology: complexity of organism, cell structure,function of plant, function of animals,diversity of living organism.
