Educational qualification for Politicians
For any growing nation education is most important aspect in all terms may it be human development or mechanical development , although education comes after hunger but know after 65 years of independence , hunger is not our major problem but education is . Thus now our politicians need to be qualified and educated. So this leads to a very common discussion that Weather Educational Qualifications for politicians are necessary or not?
Educational qualification for Politicians
Politician should be people with high education because many leadership attributes are gained through education. Leaders with no education can not cope up with the change hence it hinders country development. Education is necessary for a leader, for the country’s bright future and prosperity. As now a days it is the basic need of a person, but yes, it should not be fixed till a certain level. A leader should be matured, experienced, kind, educated, and should understand peoples feelings, thinking, vision etc. And that all comes from education it self and our moral life. So friends that’s all I think ! I hope you all will like your small friend thinking, In my view politicians needed Higher education, because they are the persons rule the society. Unfortunately the highly educating peoples like IAS Officers working under the uneducated persons and also there is no rule for politician’s education. First of all we are changing the ours.
Some high educated politicians are doing the schemes. Finally we conclude that Only Qualification insufficient for the politicians and also having good leader ship qualities and genuine persons are required. What I fell is knowledge is more necessary than a written degree, anyone in today’s world can get a degree just by paying some amount!
I totally have to disagree that education makes men for see things and value things better. Talk about Bill Gates, Henry Ford, Albert Einstein and many more throughout history. They have no educational qualifications that they can speak of and yet are great leaders, in fact they are among the most powerful motivation of the world.
So there by I conclude that knowledge should be trusted rather than a show off degree!
Government is introducing many policies to ruin illiteracy from our country. If the leader is illiterate, there is no use to make All citizens literate. A corruption free nation will come only from a well educated leader.

No doubt education makes a man broad minded, enhance his personality and groom him. This is education which make a man thoughtful. But just well education is not a fix criteria to analize a leader. There are some other qualities which makes him perfect like, he must be honest, hard-working. Sincere, corruption free, who think about people welfare and benefits etc. And most important having strong leadership qualities. There are so many leaders who are well qualified still they are corrupt and its recent example is Mr. A. Raja who is one of the most corrupt leader and involved in multi-crores 2G scam. But its doesn’t mean education is secondary thing that there should be a fixed standard of education qualification for politician. We see so many highly qualified IPS, IAS, etc. Who works for these uneducated persons. Though these administrative personnel are highly qualified yet they have to work under the pressure of these uneducated politicians. They even cannot take decisions independently and just become the puppet of these uneducated politicians. This is all because of our unawareness. During the time of elections we give vote to these uneducated, corrupt and biased leaders and became slave of them.
So, we need good and honest leader like Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chander Bose etc. And in modern time like Anna ji. Anna ji who is not so qualified yet he is trying to make our country corruption free. Thus, we need a politician who can represent common man and that is possible when our leader would be educated at certain extent and as well as honest and think for welfare of our country.
As we already know corruption is the best definition of politics.This corruption is only due to lack of education.There should be education criteria for politicians.Politicians have a big role in successfully taking the world, atleast country ahead. They become the ministers and take important decisions regarding many issues. If he/she is specialised in his/her field then the decisions will come out to be the best! That would actually be really helpful for people.A person holding the position of a finance minister should have knowledge about the financial issues concerning the nation and he should be able to take decisions that lead the nation on a progressive way. If he is educated and has the kind of knowledge in the required field then it will help him, to do justice to his job. What is important is not only does a person holding ministry should have education, but they should have relevant education concerning the post they are holding.
As we look today’s scenario, India though is developing faster, but it is also lagging behind in some areas which can not be overlooked. Politicians are people who drive this country. It isn’t necessary that each and every person should be educated but basic understanding of things, demands, needs and most important “ETHICS” should be the prior straits in every politician.
A person who is educated can understand these necessary things better. An educated person is smart, intelligent, knows difference between right and wrong.
Our politicians also represent India on international front, thus educational qualification should be must.
I Think that it is better if there is a entrance exam for politic people. At-least they have to know some basic educations. Now a days, there are many interview for small children to join a good school, then why can’t the political people have interviews and exam to participate in election and to make INDIA great. Because the they are the builder of country, they have to know how to control around 140 crore people. But if they don’t know how to control themselves then how can they control whole INDIA.
If they know education, they can take a perfect and stable decisions in any critical problem. So according to me education is mandatory for the political people.

When we go for a job of even the lowest possible responsibility there is a certain qualification for it, then why not for politician who are going to handle the biggest responsibility.

Education is actually mandatory for politician…- This is my point of view in the above regards.This is so because in todays scenario development has become the necessary deed in eyes of of everyone. This indeed becomes versatile.Leaders are born great.Such of them are Swami Vivekananda , Rabindranath Tagore , etc…These are examples of exceptions..But nowadays leaders are typical politicians…a nowhere compared to these personalities. So education must be needed in them for the nations pride, development, needs , communications.Education can increase his communication and speaking skills. A politician is a social member and his interactions with people are frequent, therefore, he needs maturity and sensibility in his talk and behavior. This is all possible with proper education. Basically, collections of ideas & implementing them is a necessary step for any politician, which only can be carried out by a educated one. Lets see that even if a IAS officer has to work under a minister who knows nothing, rather it becomes very difficult indeed to implement his (IAS) ideas into practice. So at last it becomes no use in practical.The whole story ends up to be a Jack of all, but master of none. You just cant lead a nation enough by using a microphone,giving false promises.This work can even be performed by a student .then where does the difference lies?? A Contradictory part arises.- A Student Or a Politician?? The leaders of our countries can get their positions simply because they are good speakers. They may have been local organizers but be very articulate.
Therefore I would say no, but I would add that I think there should be an educational component required after one is elected.There are procedural things, knowledge of the purpose and origin of the office you are holding, and an understanding of how your office fits into the larger scheme and flow of government as a whole. It’s a lot to learn.Some education on how the process of government is intended to work at the chosen level would allow new members to come on board in a productive manner, and hopefully prevent them from becoming jaded and giving up. Anything can be accomplished, but it is important that it be done according to established procedure, and that takes some education.

Friends i also think that there should be some educational qualifications for the politicians.politicians are the leaders of our country and they are the navigator and pathfinder and lead our country to progress..
there must be an educational qualification for politicians as well. To become the leader of the nation and guide the country is not easy . For this we need quiet good and well educated person who could guide us and can lead us as well as nation to the right place and position that it actually desreves.whatever the promises they take for the people ,they should fulfill it. its not that like ths case that they make promises and they donot fulfill it.they shouldnot make false committment..
ours is a democratic country. and we vote for the people and choose them and elect them as a leader.they take the decisions.Education is beneficial for every one and each citizen must get basic education so that he/she could get knowledge about life process, our culture, our society we live in, our constitution, our rights etc. All these aspects are very important to be known by one to become a good citizen. So do politician must get education. they should have ideas about the indian history, its geographical features..its religion features and region features..and should also know about the laws and rights a single individual is given and should follow…
Yes, i agree that now a days education is necessary but if a person has quiet good knowledge about his work then education does not remain a necessity.
The matter of concern here is the knowledge, wisdom, learning ability, thought process and leadership quality of a politician and above all a politician must be patriotic and should know how to handle citizens and how to respect their sentiments.
A politician should be a good learner and must be keen to keep himself updated with current events of the world.
If an educated politician does not bother about the things going on in the world then he will not be considered a good politicianin spite of the fact that he is educated.what ever decision they would take must be solid one and clear from the logical and analytical point of view.at any cost development of the country should not suffer..this must be the main goal of the politicians.

Qualification has very little to do with the Politics.
As a saying goes-“You’re not judged by the degree you hold but by the way you hold yourself to problems!”
Therefore, in my views the educational qualification doesn’t matter when presence of mind comes to play.
But time being, we must have a mark up level of having a minimum criteria ‘coz we can’t ignore that education still plays the dominant portion; rather intellect!
Yes i agree…my interpretation towards this topic is, there should be “Educational Qualification” for politicians because as we all know that literate person can deal with other people very well rather then an illiterate one…So i think there should be a criteria for politicians to get entry in the politics,parliament etc.
Personally i believe like in all the sectors there are some entrance exams..for politicians also there should be some exams which includes there perspectives towards the welfare of the country, the people around them, the leadership quality and the attitude towards life.It will give the exact image of a person that is going to be a politician.
So for this i completely agree that politicians should be well educated and they should have the criteria of educational qualification.It is a foremost requirement for our country that a politician must be educated.

Just because your family doctor is good, you wouldn’t insist he do your brain surgery if he wasn’t qualified. This should be the case with politicians.
Politicians, who seek higher office, should have to at least of completed certain courses. These courses could include ethics, World politics, national geography and perhaps military affairs. The only thing some politicians know about some of the areas they are to govern, is what they are told will attract votes, when they go there for their first time, for the interest in their campaign. They are often too involved in local affairs to notice what is going on else where in the world.
according to my view education is quite needed for every person or specialy for leaders and politicians because level of education increases the humans mentallity.and for ruling over people its neccesary that a person have good mentality.
as we know that our one of politician abhijeet mukherjee said some few words about the girls which shows their point of view against women’s respect.therefore it is necessary that ous polititions should have great mentality which comes from education.
In my point of view educational qualification for a politician is necessary. Only this thing (education) is not enough they have also another qualifications like sincerity, corruption free. And also understand the people’s problem by humanity.
In case of educated persons, take more number of educated politicians is in uncorrupted cases like 2G spectrum cases. Some times higher educational qualification is also not compulsory. See an examples before independence number of uneducated people were doing fight against British. In today’s in India take Anna hazard’s doing fight against corruption to do make an India corruption free. His trying to put a local bill against corruption in parliament but it is not passed.

Hello Friends In my point educational qualification is not mandatory for politicians.
I just give an example those people who are ruled in our from past 1947 are leaders some of them are educated and other people are there but they ruled our country.
And the leader ship qualities are coming from by birth only.
The person who ruled our world none other than Alexander is not much educated but he is a great leader.
But in those days they fight with an honor and for their people but now a days the Politicians are ruling for their money and other things. These people not having any morale values the morale values will be learn form education system only.
The person he/she educated/uneducated must have respect towards their own country. And these people will think about next generation then only our country in great position.
leadership and educational qualification are two different things. It is not necessary that a person who is highly qualified is also a good leader. so i think politicians need not be highly educated because the basic quality which politics demands is leadership. But politicians are the representatives of any country so they should have some basic education. An illiterate people can not be representative of a country he should have knowledge at least up to graduation level.
There must be some educational criteria for our political leaders,so that they can run our govt. efficiently,and won’t make unsensable comments on any sensitive topics,and then say sorry for their statements.
I think there should be a minimum criteria for the political leader as they represent INDIA and for a efficient leadership education should be compulsory.
