Should we have Age Limit or Retirement for Politicians?
According to my point of view there should be an age limit. In our country every field have some retirement age, but in politics no such age limit is there. Generally it has been seen that at the age of 55-60 a person becomes lazy and many health problems engulfs.At that span of time he loses his capability to think more effectively. As we know politicians are very crucial and important part of our country. So politicians should have retirement age.
Old is gold,is this true for politics so far?
I feel it is good to give youth more opportunities because they are full of ideas and are energetic to their tasks. Youth are full of passion and they have capability to work with zeal and confidence. They are fresh minded and can take right decision. The decision taken by young person is dynamic. If there willbe age limit then young generation will get chance to prove themselves. Now a day’s more than 90 % of Indian politicians are above 60. Just because there is no age limit, a politician continues to do his job until he is alive. I know they have experience but after a certain age limit they are not able to work so effectively which automatically lowers the development of our country. Due to lack of job opportunities many youngsters are going to foreign countries for higher education or in seek of good job. Youth should be given opportunity in politics. If there will be age limit of 60 years for politicians and they won’t be allowed to work beyond this age many of the young people will get chance to work and do some good steps to improve our nation . So that there may be chance of change in corrupted politics and make our country corruption free and developed. Politicians would need to retire notonly because they are physically unable to cope with the rigors of this demanding career, but because they feel that they have done a bit for the country. So I suggest that the age limit should be restricted up to age of 60.

I think POLITICS is a game which demands experienced players.One’s mind get sharper with the time.In short POLITICS (DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT OF INDIA) is not about one man’s army,it works with the cabinet of ministers. So we need the involvement of all age groups.
According to me there should be a age limit for the politicians as we talk about the entry and retirement. You know what the youth have the better skills to grow up the country. So there should a law that youth also apply to go in the politics. Because they have better management skills, better knowledge, they have the power to take the unique decisions because their minds is working like that only.
As limiting on politicians age will give them time to take a break from the endless job they have done throughout their life, it will also give chance to young blood to prove there metal.
Country like United States Of America too have an age limit for their President, then why should not country like India do that.
No doubt that a person would have gained a lot of experience but it should also stands to reason that Youth is a symbol for strength and Innovation. The youngsters are asking for their stand in politics from a very large period of time and now the time has come to fulfill their wish.
The way each and every worker has an age limit in their respective fields, in that same way politicians should have age limit for their work. Politicians are also the part of the government so they should also have the age limit.
A man has an good working ability when he is in his younger age . As age increases a man losses his ability to carry out jobs in the way they used to do before.Human being suffers from different problems as soon as they grow up. Its true that old politicians teach us ample about the facts that they are aware with and also helps us to have guidelines. But due to their retiring age and their problems they are not able to implement their ideas in that fruitful way. So by keeping them as our guide beside our side we should walk forward with our young generations in order to come out with fruitful outputs beneficial for politics.
In a country where the principal of a college is retired at 65, because he/she is considered old to run the college and manage the administrative work. The same country allows a person to run the nation at 80! This is really not justified.

According to me the age limit must be there, A politician cant work till his/her death. Politician must have the age limit above 40 and below 65.Science had proved that after some age limit the human thinking gets low he/she cant have the same memory power as had earlier and also proved that the people have a best working and sharp mind in its age limit and it also does not depend on the work experience.If there is no age limit then young people will never get chance to join politics and work for our country.The same trend will be continued for ever.so their must be something so that the young people who are moving to other nation for the seek of job and to pursue higher degree can join politics. our country needs more and more talent so that the country will rise !!!!!!
Why do we have retirement age as 60yrs for a Central Govt.employee….
It is an Unofficial Intimation to him by Govt. that
“BEYOND THIS AGE YOUR MIND WILL LOSE THE REQUIRED THINKING POWER TO PERFORM YOUR DUTIES..”
If a clerk working at his office cant perform his duties properly beyond this age, How come a politician who has to take care of a whole constituency or a whole state perform his duty efficiently..
But our political system is TO BE BLAMED,I say Our’s is a Democratic Monarchy of two Big Parties…A person who joins one of these parties at a young age of 20-25 will become a leader after 30-35 yrs making his age close to 60 or 70… If he chooses to compete as an Independent he’s not going to win as many of the voters are inclined towards the money distributed by others.
Yes ‘I totally agree that, a politician has to have a retirement age, because politicians are very crucial and imperative towards the country. Generally after the age of 50 a person becomes lazy, inculcates many health problems and as they loose there capability to think more effectively and work more positively. And I thing that it is good to give youths more opportunities than giving an aged person because youths are full of ideas and are energetic in their task….
Secondly we have old, I do not go for the statement that old is gold because the gold is gold only and cannot be compared to any age group, the work should be gold whether it is accomplished by young or old. But the thing is there, the old are having an immense experience of life, decision, work, they will surely think ten times to take any work to be done out in a positive aspect as they might have had gone through it earlier.
conclusion:
So my conlusion is that politicians should have retirement age of nearly 60 -65yrs of age!
