IBPS SO
Sections of the IBPS SO exam:-
In the past the prominent banks like SBI, Allahabad bank, Central bank, Punjab National Bank and other banks used to conduct separate process for recruiting specialist officers. This legacy changed when all the 19 public sector banks decided to conduct an exam which is known as common written examination (CWE). This made this selection process much more large and easier. IBPS SO exam is mainly categorized into two parts
- IT officers
- Law Officer
The sections of the IBPS SO exam for IT officers are:-
Quantitative Aptitude
This section is for testing the ability of solving mathematical questions. The topics of the mathematical questions are of class VII to class X. But the quality and standard of the questions are high. Most of the IT officer aspirants find this section to be difficult. His sections comprises of 50 questions which carries 50 marks.
Verbal and Non verbal Reasoning
This section is for testing the mental ability of the candidates. How a candidate thinks and prepares himself swiftly for solving any problem. This is one of the easy sections and candidates must try to focus in this section. It consists of 50 questions of 1 mark each.
IBPS-Specialist Officier
English Language
This section comprises of English grammar and the comprehension. This section consists of 50 questions but the total marks allotted for this section is 25. So for every right answer any candidate will be awarded half marks. Candidates must prepare this section well as this section is time consuming with respect to the marks allotted.
Professional Knowledge
Computer and IT are the main topics for this section. This one is the important section as it contains 50 questions and it carries total marks 75. So each question is for one and half marks. The candidates who are pursuing or successfully completed the degree of M.Sc., MCA, B.TECH or B.E could be able to sit for this examination.
