Should we have Age Limit or Retirement for Politicians?
According to my point of view there should be an age limit. In our country every field have some retirement age, but in politics no such age limit is there. Generally it has been seen that at the age of 55-60 a person becomes lazy and many health problems engulfs.At that span of time he loses his capability to think more effectively. As we know politicians are very crucial and important part of our country. So politicians should have retirement age.
Old is gold,is this true for politics so far?
I feel it is good to give youth more opportunities because they are full of ideas and are energetic to their tasks. Youth are full of passion and they have capability to work with zeal and confidence. They are fresh minded and can take right decision. The decision taken by young person is dynamic. If there willbe age limit then young generation will get chance to prove themselves. Now a day’s more than 90 % of Indian politicians are above 60. Just because there is no age limit, a politician continues to do his job until he is alive. I know they have experience but after a certain age limit they are not able to work so effectively which automatically lowers the development of our country. Due to lack of job opportunities many youngsters are going to foreign countries for higher education or in seek of good job. Youth should be given opportunity in politics. If there will be age limit of 60 years for politicians and they won’t be allowed to work beyond this age many of the young people will get chance to work and do some good steps to improve our nation . So that there may be chance of change in corrupted politics and make our country corruption free and developed. Politicians would need to retire notonly because they are physically unable to cope with the rigors of this demanding career, but because they feel that they have done a bit for the country. So I suggest that the age limit should be restricted up to age of 60.

yes i thing there must be a upper and lower limil as well for becoome a politician …….in respect to lower limit i want to say before 25 wee generally not matured properly because we dont have any resposibility
and for become a politician you must be able to undersatndpeople need and their demand for that
in respect to upper limit i thing upper limit is also important because at some level people completely need rest there fore to work efficienty we need energetic people so there must be an upper limit .
yes … should we have a age limit for a politician. older politician are not capable for t6ake a right decision in favour of our country. then are not more educated. they can’t think more about our country. if we want to a good developing country and right thinking then we should a chance of youngest and highly educated person . who could understand the critical problem and seriously take it and easy solve it. these youngest politician increase the strength of our country. so we should give a chance of youngest person. and this time whose older politician are in the politics. then government should take a action for this and will retired to them. because new think …….make a new country. and as for as i am concern whose person which are doing for our country and have a good think and they are educated but they are older . then in this situation we should not retire the older politician.
No age limit in politics doesnot matter in polictics because if a person has the patriotic feeling for his country and wants to serve the country then his age is not a problem.They may have better ideas and futuristic plans than others and with help of mass of people and youths strength it will help in realising a world which more peaceful and secular.since its said OLD IS GOLD and older ones are more experience holers they have seen the histoey living in present and help in making a better tomorrow.They can provide good directions to youths and when there ides merge with youths understanding it will create a better tomorrow.
Yes, there should be age limit for politicians. In every sector, we have a retirement age, then why not politics?
People have started seeing this as an back up option. Because a person can work for years and can make money. Politicians are people who have command on our nation and we cannot let ourselves go in hands of those people who are just here for making money.
Even criminals and uneducated people too look politics as an easy way to earn. They look politics as an option, where they can make money and have a good position. This is simply encouraging unlawful acts and deteriorating our position on global front.
Law for retirement age in politics will provide opportunities to young generation to be a part of Indian politics.

we can simply see that there is huge difference in the thinking and mentality of our generation and our grandparents generation.
they are not exposed to new technologies, not too much interested in knowing what is happening in other parts of the world. they are much interested in sharing their own experiences and guiding and telling how things happen at their times.
so should be the case with politics.

at present the average age of a member of parliament is 66 years, our prime minister is 78 and our president is above 80. its just as we are following not republican but psychiatric constitution. Is this the are the right people to decide what are the demand of young India????

yes there should be a age limit for politicians.we all know that each sector have a retirement age so why politician are not .according to my age limit is help to develop the country .we all know that the old person is act like a child .they are not able to take good decesion.
i think our country required more youngster politician because they have innovative idea to develop the country. i think the age of politician is in between 35-60 that they have a experience as well as idea which is help to develop the country.
like we take the example of president of America and president of India why America president is more popular because he is more energetic.he is youngest person etc.

In my point of view,the politicians are, somewhere or the other , serving the country.The future of our country is in their hands and somewhere or the other they are the deciding factors. So if they are doing justice with the responsibility given to them,they should continue doing it with full dedication as it is a kind of a social work and there is no age of doing the work for society. So in this case,they should not get retired and serve the country.But, as exceptions are always there.In present scenario,the service is given to there own family rather than the common people.Taking into account ,there work or responsibility towards the country,the decision should be made.
i am fully supported with this topic. i am agree with that old people have more experience than youth. But they dont ready for taking risk. I think its the time for taking risk and for applying new ideas for developing our country.
Youth are very energetic and they have new ideas. we can see the most important example of damini rape case in delhi. They are striking together for damini and all girls. We can see the example of Anna Hazare movement in all case youth are present. Because they are aware. And they want only the benifit of our country.
In our country, most of the politician are above 50 or 60 years.Even president is also above 60 years. In America they give chance to OBAMA and see America is progressing continuously. They again gave a chance to OBAMA.
So at last i would like to say that youth are more energetic, have more eagerness and they are ready to taking risk. Now the time for resigning the old politicians and give chance to youth for the bright future of our country.
In my point of view ,i think there should be an age limit for retirement of politicians as we all know many of the politicians in our country are above 60 years and they are still in a party head team.
what i think is that the opportunity should be given to youngsters because they knows well what is the need and problems of today’s world. They understands well the steps to be taken to solve the current problems .person above 60 years becomes lazy and don’t have that much presence of mind.
senior politicians should be present for suggestions and the guidance for youth ,so that they will also come to know about how the seniors work .
youths are the future of our country so let them know how to handle the situation in a better way .i would also like to give my views on corruption ,we all know corruption is increasing day by day mostly in this field senior politicians are lazy and want to earn money sitting at their home.so we all should concentrate on it .seniors should not be allowed to do so .
this is all what i can say that the change will be there only when we decide to do it may be in any condition.
yes there should be age limit for politicians as the young people has more innovative ideas and views for any situation. According to me i guess the age limit does not matter if the person who has authority, knows and understands the responsibility of his then he should work until he wants to do or until he wants the retirement. Apart from this the experience also matters as the person who has more experience can work better hence there occur no issue of age.
it is desired that there should be age limit for the politicians like other professions.
we all know at present there is very less number of young politicians who are highly active and serving well.
it is always advised by our present politicians that youth should join the politics but none of them wants to leave it so scope for youth is reduced to take part and could run the politics and government according to them.

We have to be as modern to consider the fact that a young person can also handle the politics. And there should not be any age restriction in this. As every one has seen the famous movie ” nayak ” in there also anil kapoor has handled the country very well then that corrupt politician.
Although experience is necessary to handle the country but that much experience can be achieved by the young person by hard work….and so many persons are there who are doing very much effort to get some opportunity.
I fully support this idea of having age limit in politics.Though it is is considerable to have experienced people in parliament to provide guidance & foresee the consequences of any act but it is of equal importance to provide young minds equal opportunity to come up with their innovative ideas for rapid development of any nation. Young candidates have energy & zeal to do & achieve something big for their nation which greatly contributes to upliftment of any nation. As they are young they could easily connect with any group of society and they would be aware of recent upcoming problems for which they could prepare themselves & prepare their action plan accordingly. Setting an age limit in politics would help maintaining this balance of of innovation and experience.
There is no need for age restrictions in the politics as it is a social platform and until the individual finds himself or herself fit for the job he can do it but the individual should be efficient enough in doing his or her job. Also there are areas which require more experience to handle the situation arises and decisions are taken on the basis of past experience so there is aged people are more preferable than youngsters. there are many examples where we get that the aged people done excellent work for the growth of the nation instead of their ages.
I personally think that their should not be an age limit for the retirement age should not decide that which politician is good or bad ,it may happen that the aged politician experience and fairness can help india grow at the faster rate. I personally think that their should be a rule that their would be only one person from each family who will be given a ticket.
Atal bihari Bajpee and narender modhi are to aged persons but they proved to be the great politicians their loss will be big, i think the command of India should be in the hands of experience hands only so, their should be not be any rule of age limit.
The age should not be the criteria the persons qualification and his presence of mind, experience should be the criteria.
it is totally depedent on situation ,in gujrat narendra modi is good working but he is also old. Except some situation it is good that there is age limit on retirement of politicians because new people come into politics therefore new idias are also have in mind so the growth of country is increase.as the new people are youth so they have very creative ideas in mind which help in developing our country
yes!! there should be an age limit for the politicians. those retirered politicians should give their experience to the new comers. so that they can combine their ideas with experience and take our country to a good height
ACCORDING to my view there is no age limit in the system because in many cases we need experince , but many time the experince man not take a fast decision at that time we need a youth . so in the political party we have both . by that our country moves forward and good growth and we choose good leader for our country its all depends our votes.
I am fully agree with this that there will be age limit for politicians. Because of these our youngsters didn’t get chance in politics youngsters are full of creativity,talent,new ideas. They can take our country up to a high level as compare to old politicians in developed country all president are youngsters and they are working very well. so there will be age limit for youngster.
Well its a complicated thing in my point of view. when its a case of taking responsibility of our country,we do need a lot of experience, and experience comes with hardwork, and hardwork requires a lot of time. now if a person spends his whole life is building is value and gaining experience for the benefit of the country,we just cannot ask him to move out of the system.
BUT
There is a lot of difference between a younster and elderly peoples.youngsters are comperatively hot blooded and an excited bunch of fallow, probably have a dream to contribute more than that of elders.
youngsters are less diplomatic and more straight forward whereas the opposite case is just vice-versa.
Therefore,my suggestion is to have 2 seats for 1 post. An elder person to guide and express there expierenced view and a youngster to react and implement that thought.
yes there should be an age limit for retirement of politicians so that young generation get a chance.I think age should be 70 so that there will be a balance in the parliament.After age of 70 they should be given a position of adviser in their respective parties with certain power so that their decision is respected but they should not be given a chance to fight the election.Their ideas must be considered because they have experience and youth is there to complete their dreams in such way we can think about the progress of country in all the fields.
yes, youth is more energetic but experience also matters,
youth is intelligent and aware about country’s problems but to solve those problems experience of seniors is necessary. after 60 they are not as much efficient to work. So they should be retire.
You cant be so judgemental to justify the capabilities of a man on the basis of his age. Its wrong to say that old people lost their working efficiency. And its very well known that they are much more experienced and to administer a nation its a must requirement that the leaders should be experienced . Instead of age limit we should better suggest for retirements on health baasis because there are certain unhealthy youths as well as many healthy old leaders.Moreover proper selection of people on the basis of their health, knowledge etc. will surely work much better than retiring them at some age limit.
There must be an age limit for retirement of politicians,. Its a fact that age does has a deteorating effect on the intelligence of a person. But youth must be checked while giving them such control over the country. A person who does not fit or say cannot solve the arising problems should not be allowed to come into politics ,it does not matter how young he is. Moreover, advice of an experienced person might be of some use to the young. The old politicians should be put in some advisory board that may guide the young and inexperienced according to their abilities.
So in my opinion, yes,there should be an age -restriction, young should be allowed, but the old politicians should make an advisory board that can guide the young..
India is a nation of Youth with over 30 percent of the population residing in this bracket.
The future of India is bestowed in the hand’s of young talent and they can majorly contribute in the development of the nation.
There is a sudden need for upbringing youths in the political fraternity as they are the one’s full with energy and are capable of handling their responsibilities well when compared to the old,slow and sluggish politicians.They are fast,young,dynamic and have that gut and spark which can rejuvanate society and country as a whole.One more thing to point out is that there should be no partiality in choosing of the candidates because in india it is usually considered that a politician’s son will become a politician and will come to the throne.
