Should we have Age Limit or Retirement for Politicians?
According to my point of view there should be an age limit. In our country every field have some retirement age, but in politics no such age limit is there. Generally it has been seen that at the age of 55-60 a person becomes lazy and many health problems engulfs.At that span of time he loses his capability to think more effectively. As we know politicians are very crucial and important part of our country. So politicians should have retirement age.
Old is gold,is this true for politics so far?
I feel it is good to give youth more opportunities because they are full of ideas and are energetic to their tasks. Youth are full of passion and they have capability to work with zeal and confidence. They are fresh minded and can take right decision. The decision taken by young person is dynamic. If there willbe age limit then young generation will get chance to prove themselves. Now a day’s more than 90 % of Indian politicians are above 60. Just because there is no age limit, a politician continues to do his job until he is alive. I know they have experience but after a certain age limit they are not able to work so effectively which automatically lowers the development of our country. Due to lack of job opportunities many youngsters are going to foreign countries for higher education or in seek of good job. Youth should be given opportunity in politics. If there will be age limit of 60 years for politicians and they won’t be allowed to work beyond this age many of the young people will get chance to work and do some good steps to improve our nation . So that there may be chance of change in corrupted politics and make our country corruption free and developed. Politicians would need to retire notonly because they are physically unable to cope with the rigors of this demanding career, but because they feel that they have done a bit for the country. So I suggest that the age limit should be restricted up to age of 60.

THERE SHOULD BE AGE LIMIT OF THE POLITICIAN INTO THE POLITICS, BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF TALENT IN INDIA ARE WAITING IN THE LINE SO THE THERE SHOULD BE A AGE LIMIT OF THE POLITICIANE SO AFTER THERE RETIREMENT THE YOUNG TALENT SHOULD COME INTO THE POLITICS AND THEY GIVE THERE INNOVATIVE IDEA FOR THE DEVLOPEMENT OF THE COUNTRY SO THAT THE INDIANS CAN MAKE A GOOD IMAGE IN THIS WORLD.
ACCORDING TO ME THE AGE LIMIT FOR THE POLITICIANE SHOULD BE 50 YEAR AFTER THE 50 YEAR THEY HAVE TO RETIRED AND ALL YOUNGERS COME TO IN THE POLITICS SO THAT WE HAVE A OPPORTUNITY FOR THE GROWING OF THE INDIA.
I personally feels age limit should be assigned to politicians..when in every field age limit is present then why politicians are away from that..as we all know young minds have young ideas hence it is not sensible to keep aged persons in politics ..youngsters are well aware of the present scenarios and from the problems that the country is facing..hence according to me youngsters should get the opportunity to get into politics but this is possible only when aged persons will retire first..for a better nation creative and young minds are required.therefore,there is nothing wrong in the retirement system
From my point of view there no age limit for the politicians from this is a social work which can be done in any age if the person interested to do some social work for the good will of society then they have to power to do it in any age , lots of government persons retires in the age of 60 then after the retirement they want to do some social work, then they all have to permit to do the social work and from my point of there should not be age limit in the politics….

& for politics we need a sharp brain…
we can retire them but have to take their advice in all the decisions…
I totally agree with the post that there should be a age limit for the politicians because politicians should be young and have lots of stamina to do work for your country. In my opinions age limit should be 21 to 50, not more than that because after 50 years the politicians will not be able to do any work themselves for their country.
ACCORDING TO ME THERE SHOULD BE AN AGE LIMIT ABOUT 50-60 YEARS FOR THE RETIREMENT IN POLITICS.BECAUSE IN EVERY JOB THERE IS A PROVISION OF RETIREMENT. CURRENTLY NOW SACHIN IS ALSO GIVEN THE RETIREMENT BY THE SAME THING PROCESS. EACH AND EVERY PERSON SHOULD GET CHANCE TO GET EMPOLYED IF THEY ARE SUITABLE TO BE OVER THERE WHEN THAT PARTICULAR ORGANISATION FEEL THAT THIS PERSON IS NO MORE SUITABLE FOR THAT JOB DUE TO PROBLEMS RELATED TO HIS/HER AGE.SO WHY NOT SO IN POLITICS ……POLTICIANS ALSO DO JOB AS A REPRESENTATIVES OF PEOPLE IN GOVERMENT. MOREOVER AFTER A PARTICULAR AGE LIMIT THERE IS NEED FOR THE OLD PEOPLE TO GET REST AS THE REWARD FEELS BY THEM OF DOING CONTINUOS JOB FOR OUR GOVT AND FOR OUR INDIA FOR 50-60 YEARS GIVEN BY INDIAN GOVT.
I am agree with this, we need to set a retirement age for politicians so that youth can replaces them to take our country’s economic & social growth to a greater extent. we see that the politicians of foreign countries like Pakistan, U.K, USA etc are of the age group 35-55 which is a suitable age for being an politician. at this age they have good experience, good potential to handle a country’s political thread.
when came to Indian Politicians our most of the politicians are above 60 years of age which is an official age group of retire pensioner. this is a age when an individual should take rest at home & play with their grand son & do Bhajans. so in my opinion the retirement age for the politicians should be decided & motivate & encourage youths to enter in the politics
I would like to say that politicians must have a limited period of time to respond a perfect govt.
Since, a politics must be regarded as dump .Nobody is ready to clean it up . As a young mind , can do it properly.
As a young mind responsibility comes & must be thought of a nice government . we must go through various
hard working stages. Since every politician must be retired from its proper age limit. As the politician is getting tired , and always old people is being selected for it, it must be stopped because the leaders(old age)
are having no knowledge of latest technologies. With the advent of technology every thing is getting advanced if they can be compatible with it and also with proper action then only they should stand for it.
In every field or I must say in every job we have a limit of age hence WHY TO BE SO BIASED WHEN IT COMES TO POLITICS?
At the age of 60 we all know an individual become lethargic due to which the efficiency of his/her work is affected .
Every individual has the right to live his life therefore we cannot take this right from them for the sake of the quality of work . In the present scenario our political structure is in dire need of youth so young minds should also be given chance in politics as we REALLY NEED INNOVATIVE AND PRACTICAL IDEAS so that we do not cripple as we are crippling in the present scenario due to poor political system.
Therefore retirement should be in politics.
Well its a complicated thing in my point of view. when its a case of taking responsibility of our country,we do need a lot of experience, and experience comes with hardwork, and hardwork requires a lot of time. now if a person spends his whole life is building is value and gaining experience for the benefit of the country,we just cannot ask him to move out of the system.
BUT
There is a lot of difference between a younster and elderly peoples.youngsters are comperatively hot blooded and an excited bunch of fallow, probably have a dream to contribute more than that of elders.
youngsters are less diplomatic and more straight forward whereas the opposite case is just vice-versa.
Therefore,my suggestion is to have 2 seats for 1 post. An elder person to guide and express there expierenced view and a youngster to react and implement that thought.

i think there should be no age limit for the politicians” Because there is no age limit for doing work and a age factor doesn’t make any effect while working if a politician who is 60yrs old, and he is physically fit it doesn’t mean that he can’t work in this age. They have gain lot of experience through their carrier and they knows very well what is right or wrong. So by their experience they are capable for taking the right decision. but after a certain age, if a politician doesn’t feels physically good or feels that he is unable to give good services to his country..or his health is supporting him than retirement must be given to that people, Because it’s a question of future of our country.So it must taken seriously.
There is not such provision that young guys can’t get entry in politics.if they want to contribute in the development of our country through politic,then they are always free to enter in the politics and can prove themselves with their energy, new innovation and Zeal!

Politics follows the policy of “OLD IS GOLD”.Average age of Indian population is approx 65,therefore the retirement should be done at the age of 55-56.Best example of this is shown by Mulayam singh by giving chance to his son Akhilesh Yadav,the present Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.If there is defined retirement age for many of Government workers such as IAS and IPS officers then why not of politician? Reason is every one know that a person can work at his/her best at young age when he/she is not struggling from any mental or physical problem.
Definitely age limit should be imposed in politics in order to speed up the growth of the country. The youth of the country are well versed with every day changing technology. Thus a combination of old horses along with strong shoulders of the youth. This will impose a deadly combination which will be a boon for the country. Thus having an age limit will help to the betterment of the country.
I think there should be an age limit in politics because after 50-60 a person is not able to do hard work. They becomes lazy and suffered from many deceased.So they are not able to take right decisions for country which is very important.As the politicions are the very crucial part of country so they have to take the right decisions and do hard work.In our country 90% of politicions are above 60.So this should be changed. Government should elect the youths for politics because they know what the world needs today.They are fresh minded and energetic with great zeal and able to take dynamic decisions.Today the youths are going abroad for seeking job but they can got a better opportunity in their country. They are able to take right decisions so i think the government of India should restrict above 60.In other countries there is a restriction thats why they are performing well than us so we should also work on it.Elect youths so they work to change the democracy.Youths are better for dynamic change for politics. i am agree with you on this topic that politicians should a have an age limit or retirement as we saw average age of india’s cabinet is 67 according to 2009 election. so there is need that there should be age limit for the politicians too, also the voters should be aware about all the facts of the candidates who is standing from there constituency and should not give vote to that person. also young peoples should come forward with good innovative ideas and great vision about future having good leadership techniques and also they are aware about the new technology which are evolving. so there should be age limit for the politicians too.
Yes, i totally agree with the topic that we should have age limit for the politician because youth should also be involve in politics but the leading politician which is leading any particular party do not want to leave there power and there position so because of these reason youth is restricted to there college and university so there must be an age limit so these old politician which is not be able to make good decision after a certain time so there place must be given ti the young leader so they can make some good decision for youth and all society with there good decision making.

Yeah exactly, i m completely agree with the satatement , politicians should must have a retirement age.As we all know that more than 80% of our politicians are older than 60, because of their age they generally might not efficient as they need to be, they should leave the polictics and provide opportunities to the youngsters , as we all know more than 60% of Indian population are young.
They will work more efficiently .Elder politicians are supposed to support them by suggesting their views. This will also helpful for the development of a Country.

yes, for me their should be an age limit in the politics as “the old leaves detach new leaves come” and same is the case here instead of including older people younger generation should be given chance

In every field we had retirement. But we cannot see retirement in politics. The politicians were ruling till their last breathe. This means I was not against them. I suppose to say that they should live peacefully in the their last days. This may also provide better opportunities for the youth.
Of course I do feel that there should be a retiring age for politicians as well.
Our country with such a huge population is full of enthusiastic and dynamic young personalities who can take strong and tough decisions as well.
We need our leaders to think out of the box. We need a change in vision of the politicians.
This change can only be provided by the youth only. We can not expect from a older politician to think in the same manner as a young mind does, a generation void comes into act thereby.

Age limit in politics will be a plus pint if we want to see our country develop at a much greater rate. The country can speed up its progress under the leadership of fresh minds and strong shoulders of the youth.The youth are well versed with new technologies that are changing. Along with the experience of old horses combined with the passion of the youth will help for the betterment of the country. This can only happen if age limit is applied in politics as well.
