Are we Really Good Indian Citizen?
A nagging question has always bothered me why aren’t we Indians better citizens? I’ve often felt disheartened and embarrassed to admit that we fall short of being the responsible citizens we should be To support my views I would like to begin with the politics first. We say we live in a democratic country which means leaders are to be chosen by public votes. And when leaders are chosen by a majority and then any undesirable thing happens we directly and very casually blame them.
We expect the government to do everything for us while our contribution is totally nil. We often blame leaders after they have been chosen because we tend to overlook our own role in selecting them. Instead of taking responsibility for our choices, we shift the blame to the leaders themselves. Instead of taking action to create positive change, we often retreat to our comfort zones with our families and wait for someone else to come along and fix the problems. We gaze out at distant lands, expecting a magical solution to arrive, courtesy of a messianic figure waving a wand.
We always look up the pressure around us, without thinking about the solution. We blame the government for unemployment, hikes in prices, non-management wastes, illiteracy, and so many other things. We expect the government to be aware of our problem and expect them to find a solution. My only question to all of you is “Are we really a good Indian Citizen ? “.

Small Action for A Better Nation
Similarly, if we look towards our duty to keep our surroundings clean. We throw away waste materials haphazardly and expect the government to clean up the garbage. There are so many other small things by which we can help our system to be good and reach to satisfactory level. For example, by helping the needy, taking care of the poor people, by paying taxes at the right time we can do our bit. Just like business requires innovation and the ability to respond to change, so do communities and nations. So we must make it grow and work efficiently.
We must question and debate how to improve society and change inefficient or unjust systems. Parents, educators, and leaders can instill patriotism and national commitment in kids and youth. Let’s encourage the youth to take responsibility, lead, and tackle tomorrow’s challenges. Please feel free to write your views/opinions in the comment section.

Frankly speaking, if we want to define what “good” here represents. Then only we will have a parameter to define what a good citizen is.
According to me every citizen hence is a satisfactory or an above average citizen. The fact that every citizen plays his part in the development of our country always counts. A person working in a car repair shop andthe person who is the CEO of a company pays equally in the uplifment of the country.
The fact that people are working passionately for themselves serves the country in one way or another. Our politicians on one hand and Cricketers on the other also plays an equal part in development of the country, and as serving our country defines weather we are a good citizen or not, I can confidently sathat we all are good citizens of our country.
IT FEELS VERY BAD TO SAY THAT WE ARE NOT A GOOD CITIZEN OF OUR COUNTRY. BEING ADULT CITIZEN OF COUNTRY ALL OF US HAVE CERTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NO ONE OF US FOLLOWS THEM. WE BLAME OUR POLITICIANS FOR EVERYTHING. BUT IN DELHI CASE NONE OF THE POLITICIAN WAS INVOLVED. THE PEOPLE WHO WERE INVOLVED WERE ONE AMONG THOSE WHO SIT AND TALK ABOUT THE FLAWS OF OUR SYSTEM.
SO WE ARE NOT GOOD CITIZEN OF VTHE COUNTRY.
I am good in many ways and also bed for many ways. not all are good. because
>Many persons are like to invest in temples but only few persons like to invest money for poor person.
>Many person like to waste money in bakery but very few person like to give money in schools as donation.
>Many person are standing with delhi rape case but very few persons like to stay for that girl who is commented by cheep persons on road.
only we are responsible for condition of our country but most of people would not agree with that. We run from our responsibilities.
By increasing our thinking level and by understanding our duties for our country we can become a good citizen. Consider the country as your own family.
we are good became good citizen if we have developed our country like usa china japan .we must do the perfect work to increase the growth of india .india still only the progressive country and we wiil work more to join the usa china and another success country.the education must be practically then the theory .the theory part also very useful but we must focus on practical system.in japan the 10 years old boy make a watch but Indian doesn’t because our education depend only theory so the practically moment must be in india.
I don’t think we are a good citizen because we are running from our moral duties.Actually every citizen in the indian society don’t have time to serve for country or to fulfill our duties in societies.
Students are busy in making their future,elders are busy in gathering money for their children.some are busy in using heir minds to do crimes and some are busy to take their revenge…!!

okkee let us take a simple example..
if we need to through some garbage while travelling 80% of us throungh it on the road and 19% will through it in the vehical itself.. remaining 1%will show some decency and sufficticacy and through it in the dustbin which will be left uncheck py 99% irresponsibal municipal officers…

Seems to be quite funny.
A old saying says “Mera Bharat Mahaan” but then it was corrected by adding “jaha 100 me se 99 baimaan”.
It means that if we are actually correupted so much how can we consider ourselves as good citizens.
We are the people who never want to pay our tax, we dont recognize our own responsibilities- the best example is the recent “Delhi’s Rape case” where an innocent girl was brutually raped by six people and much more brutal was that she was lying on the road for half an hour in that injured position totally naked….
We say that India has the largest religion diversity whole over the world- truly something to feel proud, but as much shameful is that we use to fight on the name of religion and God the most.The sex discrimination is still on the top and we talk about equality…. Each and everyone of us is corrupt and still we abuse our politics. how can we even think that we are nice Indian citizens.
I can’t say that we all are a good Indian citizen. Yes if I am talk about only mine then I really say that I am a good citizen because I have follow the rules and regulations that are given to us. And I try my best to grow the Indian people as more as possible. I have talk about many things to the people when we meet the people in general like increasing of the green house effect and all such type of topics.
There are many Indian citizen that do their work to improve the India in a better way. But many people are still unaware or do wrong things which will effect the Indian economics, Indian improvement in any case.
So we can’t say that every Indian is a good citizen of India.
Change the mentality of ourself and do something that will improve the India in a more better way.
In india number of good citizen is less because maximum indian people think about ourselves not other people . so india want maximum number of people for good citizen that think about india.
so we are not good indian citizen. number of good citizen are less in india so its want more good indian citizen.
i want to say the indian culture are being followed by foreigners too.we are so bad in awareness about our country. we make our own country dirty. we are far behind the other countries because we are having very poor condition in health, education, socialism and corruption because of lack of awareness in indian citizen in these particular areas of improvement.
so as far as i am concern about this topic indian citizen should have to aware in every areas of development of the nation.
i believe that we lack the special patriotism now..we believe only in living selfish living by hook or crook.we vote and elect those who are nt educated,criminals etc and then blame them for the wrong done.we support IAC,anna hazare and do corruption at doorstep when we are to get special passes for lines in ralliesa and some even to this to make them on television and poplurize amongst themselves..we try to steal electricity,damage government properties,historical monuments etc,steal taxes etc.. and say that we a too much loadsheding,roads are not gud,bad transport syatem,bad sewage syatems and all..
it our responsibility to make paeople aware of their rights, make them literate,stop illegal practices bt we believe only in self welfare and profit making..then how can we b a gud citizen and its long story that tells we never try to be gud and those who does the are sperated and abolished
Yes i am agree with this thought that we are not good citizen. In India we always think about the bad works ,we never think about the good works of persons. we are always busy with our personals issues, we never think about our country,specially politions they came in front of people at the time of elections. we choose our leader ourself, how only a single person handle whole people without our support. we all are always ready to do fight on castisism, religions,tribes and oter unnessary issues. we never addopt changes in our life if somebody wants to change that then everybody stopes him. they only wants the past synnerio they dnt want new changes, but they always think that change is bad. but according to present generation change is must. we are not follow our dutis,our responsibities so we are not good citizen
First and Foremost ” I AM PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN”
I always says to myself that i will help others , i will always speak truth, i will always obey the rules …… but then i realizes that am i really doing deeds that make me a good citizen and frankly speaking the answer i get is NO.But this does not mean i harm someone or do wrong deeds but the acts like breaking signals at traffic lights , using pirated dvds etc are some events that make me think about my markings.
But then important thing is that i am improving on my part in a speedy way.
The feeling i got voting first time was outstanding that incident made me realize the importamnt of each and every citizen this country comprise of.
Donating blood frequently and helping the needy are some incidents which make me feel that yes i am becoming a good citizen and soon will myself “I AM THE GOOD CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have democratic country but don`t follow the domocratic rules. There is very much corruptions in politics or in every field. And we do dirty to every field because we don`t follow any rules in any field. We says there is corruption but we also the part of corruption. so it is very bad that we bamed to other but don`t initalise to ourself . Good country makes with good citizen. so when we shall good then our country will be good .
IN my opinion its true to some extent but what the citizens can do if there is no proper leaders because choosing any politician makes no difference. Yeah, we should take care of our duties and careful about our taxes, being respectful to other citizens and so on. But if tere are no proper bins for garbage near someone where should one throw the waste out! So, I think that we need corrections in us but at the same time the nation should provide better facilities and more eligible people should be our leaders. How can we select lilies from a cactus plant!
Everybody has good or bad quality. we can decide on the basis that which quality is more dominant to other quality. Same logic is applying here, Indian’s have more bad quality as compared to good quality. First thing is that we are selfish and we want to fill only our own stomach like a dog. we are quickly excited on the basis on the matter of religion. and we belief more on superstition blindly. we are more dependent on traditional either it is right or wrong doesn’t matter. I think Indian’s aim is to follow something blindly.
no we are not good citizens ,
because we always go far from our responsibilities and then blame the others or the government,
if we cant choose the right ones n we do partiality and then we think that there should be good with us then this is not possible.

we are those Indians which read the history of Bharat converted it into Hindustan and now desiring for India .

every person is not good in our country but few person is very great personality ..!! yes and every things depend on its all our hands..!! so become a good and responsible of india..!!
we should be more entreprenur then manager because a entrepreneur is risky man he take many risk, he take risk in build many new technologies and start a buiseness and take a decision . in india new generation has good knowledge but he has increase the entreprenur, a entreprenur takes the decision own. before the starting the buisiness a entrepreneur don’t know that he get loss or proffit, he start his own risk. we can also say that he is riskyman.but for manager for get success he can do hard work for long time .
in my point of view we are not good indian citizes becouse peoples are first to suggestion but these type of people who are not accepted to othere suggestions if we are awerness to our duties and understand our responsibities then our nation is grove up when understan our duties and responsibilities…
in my thinking at this time some people of our nation are good citizen but many of them are not good but all of the people of our nation to requir change their thought about our nation that they should any work with thinking first about our nation,they have to help of all poor people,and require to think about some bad aspects of our nation to change them in a good quality enviroment
we are not good citizens… we think only about ourselves not about country…. for eg… we dump each and every thing on road… do not care about pedestrians…we do not help victims who met with an accident and are lying on road with fear of police case… we do not help poors..either we abuse the,,, we hate them for thier living style…we are not at all responsible citizens.. country is by its citizens not by government as indians (most) do not respect women… and on the other hand they worship them in form of durga and kali….we are very selfish citizens…we care only about our family not about our country…
We are the good citizens, but have some bad activities. In generally we look around that there are some other factors those are creates the defects in our city . I live in Jaipur , Rajasthan and i feel here almost is very good but in some areas there some people gives the negative effects , There they should be reduce . We know that it can’t be clear or completely remove but they can be reduce.
In the above i discussed about the peoples but now i will talk about the population . In case of population the cities contain a lot of population and also they creates a lot of populations , they should be remove beacuse they are using the resource those are limited they should either find the alternative or use in a limit.
i will not talk about everything because there are a lot of things to talk about it like about politics, roads problems, there’s cultuer, there person’s attitude etc, i can talk about everything for full day but it’s not necessary because if you think about these things then you will get answer automatically
