Are we Really Good Indian Citizen?
A nagging question has always bothered me why aren’t we Indians better citizens? I’ve often felt disheartened and embarrassed to admit that we fall short of being the responsible citizens we should be To support my views I would like to begin with the politics first. We say we live in a democratic country which means leaders are to be chosen by public votes. And when leaders are chosen by a majority and then any undesirable thing happens we directly and very casually blame them.
We expect the government to do everything for us while our contribution is totally nil. We often blame leaders after they have been chosen because we tend to overlook our own role in selecting them. Instead of taking responsibility for our choices, we shift the blame to the leaders themselves. Instead of taking action to create positive change, we often retreat to our comfort zones with our families and wait for someone else to come along and fix the problems. We gaze out at distant lands, expecting a magical solution to arrive, courtesy of a messianic figure waving a wand.
We always look up the pressure around us, without thinking about the solution. We blame the government for unemployment, hikes in prices, non-management wastes, illiteracy, and so many other things. We expect the government to be aware of our problem and expect them to find a solution. My only question to all of you is “Are we really a good Indian Citizen ? “.

Small Action for A Better Nation
Similarly, if we look towards our duty to keep our surroundings clean. We throw away waste materials haphazardly and expect the government to clean up the garbage. There are so many other small things by which we can help our system to be good and reach to satisfactory level. For example, by helping the needy, taking care of the poor people, by paying taxes at the right time we can do our bit. Just like business requires innovation and the ability to respond to change, so do communities and nations. So we must make it grow and work efficiently.
We must question and debate how to improve society and change inefficient or unjust systems. Parents, educators, and leaders can instill patriotism and national commitment in kids and youth. Let’s encourage the youth to take responsibility, lead, and tackle tomorrow’s challenges. Please feel free to write your views/opinions in the comment section.

To be a good citizen,we involve in national growth process,It is rightly said that charity begins at home, if one is self disciplined then only he/she could set models for others to follow like we had great example of our father of nation “Mahatma Gandhi”, but even society has not taken back step to blame him or accuse him for not being good for the role which he unwillingly had play in partition of India.So what can we say for a common man.So i can say that i m to not the right person of india and i would like to appeal everyone be fair in any activity they participate, i am trying my best to improve myself you also please try.

if some give us option 2 choose one b/w money or India …most of the people choose money …
because every one is selfish here they only think about there self …there life, there family and career…
it doesn’t mean that they or i do not care about India but not more than are self…
so we are good citizen till when its not come on some one life..

According to me every citizen hence is a satisfactory or an above average citizen. The fact that every citizen plays his important part of life in the development of our country which always counts. A person working in a car repair shop and the person who is the CEO of a company plays equally in the uplifment of the country.
ofcourse not. i am ashamed and feel embrssed a bit. Indians are not good citizens because they alwys blame the government for every thing e.g. prices hike, illeteracy,crime. etc. The public choose their leaders and why they blame after any crime to government. why the don’t blame themselves. they should. Because today youths are not interested in politics. They people are running from there responsibilities. they are nil but they always try to impose a blame on government for this.they are always ready to escape from the country problem.they should also work on it. they should work efficiently.and also inspire everyone to be patriotic. they should help the poor and needy person. they should pay their taxes on time. so they can be a good citizen and never get dishearten by introducing himself infront of any one.time to change ourself…. so that there will be a great change in world……thnxxxx…..
i totally disagree with this fact that we are a good Indian citizen…..every now and then, crimes are just being increasing at a very fast rate.India is not developing itself in an efficient way but its developing everyday with an increased rate of crimes……criminals are living freely instead of being prisoned or getting a severe punishment…even 90% of the people have a very bad mentality towards girls.in every 21 minutes rape is done.which is the most backward problem and the great fact is that government don’t do any thing it doesn’t take any severe action against them.if girls are not free in their houses then where is the most suitable and a safe place for them to go???????
To be really honest i simply cant speak about principles and honesty….. Because we are living in such a society that teaches us to being selfish and does not interfere in others matter…
we are too much bounded that our mentality also says that what will happen or what we will gain by helping other…
today many people are not true indian because We think that system is bad but we forget that this system is made by ourselves. once we start to think about others then this will also good for ourselves. If we are right then rest will also become right.
“To be good citizen, person should be a good person”.
At present scenerio, peoples have need to wake up,raising their voice,concern for the pain of others, just realize we all are family members as like peoples shown their strength ,unity for justice in delhi case.
if it starts introspection , and start to think for the welfare of others,for nation. then definetly, we all are good indian citizen. specially youth provides results that india is developed country.
But yes I do support people who realize that the no. of good citizens are less but I support more the idea of those who suggested how turn others into being good.BECAUSE IN INDIA THE PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED TO DO THEIR WORK THEY DONT CARE HOW A OTHER PERSON MAY BE AFFECTED FROM THIS . BY A SIMPLE EXAMPLE AFTER AN ACCIDENT PEOPLE NEVER TRY TO HELP THE INJURED PERSON AND THEY WAIT FOR AMBULANCE OR ANY OTHER GOVT. SERVICE,BUT AT THAT TIME WE MUST HELP TO INJURED PERSON WITHOUT MAKING ANY TIME DELAY
we are not good citizen at all.A moral responsibility of a good citizen is very first he/she not blame our nation for any kind of failure but we do blame because our nation is not supporting us,political leaders at the time of election promise us for so many good things but after they are selected for that particular post,they don’t fulfill thier promises.
we are not good citizen because peoples between us causes strikes.On an average in a strike,there is a loss of approx 1 to 5 crore pf the whole nation which leads to downfall of our economy.
There are so many things which shows that weware not good citizen,so we should work positive for it.
citizenship show people quality .really a good Indian care someone ,good feeling concern ,good work, understand everyone feeling,known our life,helpful person,care every living and non living think. if these quality have any one i think that person a good Indian citizen .
if seen GDP of world country we seen that china is highest GDP because their people only concern our work .
And also people are not comparing to any one people our quality whether it quality are related to own thinking ,behavior ,richness and poorness ,intelligence,face structure etc.good Indian citizen are very sharp mind they just only concern our work .
As the topic we have “are we a good citizen ” i think we are not. The way we behave at public place is not good because we do not care where we are throwing over garbage , some people spit on the road and some other things like how to behave with women and how to respect them ,the thing is not end here we have some other things like how to we there foreigner because they always give negative feedback that is not good for any nation .For any good citizen each individual must be honest with there country and must obey there moral duty and behave nicely and pleasantly in society that is must for good citizen at this place India is lacking but not youth are working for it and we are becoming good citizen.
There is another thing that not all citizen are bad in our country we are lacking with some places and also some good citizen is present.

Actually , one cannot deal with this phrase properly. It has both good and bad postulates.There are situations in which some people hide themselves , and does not help in situations when they are really required by citizens of India, on contrary there are some which get out of there safety zone to help the needy. We blame the government for unemployment, but actually were the only people who have chosen them. we cannot expect from them evrytime , it is our duty even to move forward against the crises. We expect government to be aware of our problem and expect them to find a solution. There are so many other small things by which we can help our system to be good and reach up to satisfactory level. we can help government in keeping our surroundings clean and by not doing any unwanted activities which are disturbing the peace of country.
The MENTALITY of the people of the country is the major part to discuss over this matter. Citizen with goodness and badness can only be differentiated by the thinking quality and mentality of the person.
The second thing is LITERACY, people are literate but they behaves like snobs.
India is a vast country but the government is lack with both the two things, these two things are required to run the country and for its development. Here the people in the politics are more greedy and corrupted, they just think about there-self only.
The cops are also very lazy and do not work without bribe. This is not the country or Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh and etc.
And if we talk about the common man, they even don’t know about the rights they carry.
As far as i am concerned, NO we are not an good citizen because we are not take any initiative to to develop our coutry.we are are always talking about humanity,are we ever done any free coaching for poor,are we ever make help poor by giving them employment,we are always think that giving money to beggar make our responsibility done.we blame our society,our politicians for thier role in society ,why we ever take any initiative to do development in our country,we have lots of things we can do but instead of blaming others we doesnot do anything,so being a good citizen you should help others not by money but by helping them in education,in employment,raise voice against injustice on women like in the delhi gang rape….SO WE CAN SAY CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME..so if you are a good citizen take initiative instaed of blamming others….then we can say we are a good citizen..hope we can see our country more developed in future..:):)
Well as of now , i would say that we are not the perfect citizen of the country having leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawahrlal Lal Nehru or Subhash Chandra Bose but Yes we do have the capability to make us one of them.
Right now we are a part of an developing country as an developing citizens and Expected to be perfect is something asked before time.
So, the we should wait for the time and do our bit towards the direction of becoming good citizen.

many cases are done like delhi rape case,there are many cases of rape cases are done in delhi which is the capital of our country what will happend in another states if our capital is not safe for girls.Many person like to waste money in bakery but very few person like to give money in schools as donation & some funds for poor people . in our country many person have black money they are misusing there money. so i am feeling very embarrassed to say that we are indian .today Everyone wants to change the things around but my opinion is one should change oneself to initiate the positive change of our country so that we can develop our country.now a days everyone is busy in on-selves that we forgot that we are people of our nation and we have some responsibilities and duty towards it. we need to be a good citizen of our country so that we can feel proud & we can say that yes we are a really indian citizen .

I think we are not a good citizen because if we are good citizen than we have to think about our environment beneifits as well as humanbeings good. Now a day all are thinking for their own good nobody’s bothered about the others. if take the example of recent delhi rape case, the girl that was lying in the middle of the road in the bitter cold there were many citizen those passed away but none of them helped her. This shows that how far does the humanity exist in our world.
It also reflects the attitude of the person who no longer behaves as a matured man than how far he would be able to make learn his children the things that is needed in todays society often the child learn the same thing what there parents teach them either it prove out to be good or bad in todays society.
Atlast i would like to conclude that a person by birth needs to learn the things which would be acceptable in todays generation so that they would not face any harsh full behaviour from others so ofcourse a person is required to be a good citizen which is required in todays scenario.
We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick a up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin. We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms. We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity. This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to the public. When it comes to burning social issues like those related towomen, dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home. Our excuse? ‘It’s the whole system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my sons’ rights to a dowry.’ So who’s going to change the system? What does a system consist of ? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbours, other households, other cities, other communities and the government. But definitely not me and YOU.
i am good citizen of india or not ,it is totally different from different point of view..
as we have not all rights to do perform desired work which are in favour of our country because if i will do them then at any places some will prove me non-social or criminal by doing some wrong activity by my name….
if we take a example of gandhiji then he will be a good person in number of point of view and he is a bad person in number of points of view….
our country are to be said free due to his activity but we have loss some of great person because of his selffishness and politics…..
so in my view i’m a good citizen of india
we are the good indian citizens but really the number of these kind of peoples are very less.because a good citizens should follow the traffic rules,should follow the limited use of resources,and should underestand the importance of little things in our daily life.like consumption of light,use of water,and not think that if he is not follow the rules then y i?this is the lowest thinking of peoples.so if one start the good work then according to the single one another staright while others contradict it. “No one” has right to say whether the other people our good citizens or not if he/she does not abide by all rules & regulations and do all moral obligations in a precised manneThe feeling i got voting first time was outstanding that incident made me realize the importamnt of each and every citizen this country comprise of.
Donating blood frequently and helping the needy are some incidents which make me feel that yes i am becoming a good citizen and soon will myself “I AM THE GOOD CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!r himself/herself the good work.delhi gang rape make me think once again that is we really good citizen ??????? i ashamed on such unacceptable crime done by human being we r not animals but sometimes these accidents make me really sad…….
we “the Indian citizens” are good but the number of us is very less. If we want our society to be clean and clear this number should be increase first.
